fraud
Paid $60.00 for books for children in foster care. Was told I would received proof that books would be donated & delivered to children in need, but someone would contact me first via phone to verify my purchase before cashing my check. 2 months later, no phone call to verify, they cashed check, no one answers number on receipt and they only ones that know where my monies went are the young people who came to my door yanking my chain for the company who taught them how. Do not buy, magazines, books etc. From these young people knocking on your door wanting to get points, credits or rewards thru your subscription orders. Beware!

Bad service
Pacific Coast Clearing Services denied, refund, scam Internet
A college age door to door salesman who claimed I could either purchase a subscription to a magazine, or I could purchase a subscription of a magazine and have it sent to a local childrens hospital, thus gaining a charitable write-off. He claimed he was participating in a sales competition with a grand prize of some vacation trip. Later after conversing with the salesman I began to get an uneasy feeling about his legitimacy and decided I would cancel the order.
I mailed out my cancelation form THE DAY OF the order, which happened to be a Saturday, so technically it didnt reach the post office till the following Monday. The form stated that the mail needed to be postmarked within 3 business days of the date of sale. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Saturday and Sunday are not business days.
Weeks later I received a letter stating that my cancelation was denied because my letter was not postmarked within 3 days of the date of sale. I immediately called the number on the letter and was connected to a representative who claimed my letter was not postmarked until 2 weeks after the date of sale. My apartment complex has daily mail pickup so I know that that is impossible, no matter how slow the mail is running. At that point the representative became hostile and refused to assist me any further.
I have filed the information with my city council to see if this company even has the proper permits to come onto the property where my apartment is.
