I had contacted PADI because we had a previous instructor that was teaching students at our Dive Shop called Discover Diving Dive Center. The previous instructor was William H. Holder which collected thousands of dollars from students and never performed any of the classes. The owner of the Dive Shop had been contacted by many of the students that were never taught and wanted to know what was going on. For weeks after William H. Holder had been dismissed for theft by check and for taking money from students there were many students coming in wanting a refund or credit. Instead we contacted PADI over the phone and spoke with one of the representatives from PADI in california they had given us the ok for me to assist and teach these students and that they would reimburse me. I completed all my part in teaching all these students and helping to keep the PADI name good, they were later contacted to let them know that all was done and that we were waiting for reimbursement. They denied ever making such agreement with us and refused to pay me. The total amount came out to 2, 400.00 in students and 843.00 in fuel cost to the springs and back. I drive a 3/4 ton chevy crew cab.
Now PADI has dismissed me from teaching again claiming that there were enough complaints against me to dismiss me and so now they do not have to do anything. The complaints were all filed by students that we associated with William H. Holder that was the instructor that vowed to get back at us for letting him go. I am now having to go through another certification agency which is costing me thousands of dollars again. The new certification agency is NAUI which is the National Association of Underwater Instructors. They have been bending in positive fashions to assist me because they understand what I am going through. These people seem to run things there own way and it is a shame because it took me months to correct the damages that were caused by William H. Holder and if they had said not to correct the problem I would of never of sacrificed my time and use of my equipment. So now they leave me unemployed and unable to teach...
