Scam
The hold times are around one hour. Page Plus ILLEGALLY records call. They have the worst reception of any provider. No one in customer service knows what they are doing. The customer service is very rude and will hang up on you and thus you wait on hold to speak to another untrained rep. The phones are so cheap, that no one can hear you. The are verizons reburbs that are junk. When they make a mistake as they often do, they blame you for it and hang up. Any one intersted in a class action law suite against this pathetic company.

Rude service
I paid in advance for me $45 unlimited plan my phone was shut off after 4 days of usage, i called they said the payment went to last month which is untrue because they are a pre paid company i have been hung up on by two supervisors who were very rude.

Poor customer service
On Jan 25, 2011, I purchased the Kyocera G2GO M2000 for an employee to use to access email. We were told by an employee at Page Plus Cellular's 800 customer service number that it would access email, and the specs on the phone list online showed email as an option. So we ordered the phone. Once we received the phone several day later, we turned the phone on and attempted to access email on the phone, and were unable to. We contacted the company to find out why the phone wouldn't access email. We were told by a representative that email was a phone feature, but was not supported by their data plan. That seemed like false advertising to us, but we didn't feel like causing drama, so we asked what we needed to do since the phone wasn't going to work for us. We were told by the Page Plus customer representative that we should send the phone back to them, and they would refund the money minus a 20% restocking fee. The restocking fee seemed insane since it wasn't our fault, but again we didn't feel like arguing so we just agreed to it. We were told that we had 20 days to send the phone back. Approximately 3-4 days later, the phone was shipped back to them. Then on Feb.11, 2011, I received a phone call from a representative of Page Plus Cellular. I was asked why I sent the phone back, so I informed the representative of the above situation. She then told me that I should have sent the phone to Kyocera for them to replace. I told her that I would not do that. I had already been told to ship it to them for a refund, so that is what I did. The representative then tells me she is shipping it back to me. I told her that I didn't want the phone back, it was not of any use to us as it couldn't access email. I had already incurred the cost of shipping to me and then back to them. I would never had shipped it to them if I wasn't told to. I don't think that I should incur the cost of shipping a phone to the manufacturer when the phone never would have been ordered if we were given correct information.

Defective cell phone
I recently purchased a brand new Kyocera G2Go M2000 cell phone from their website. When I received the phone the battery cover was loose. I contacted Page Plus to have the phone replaced and I was told by them that I have to send it to Kyocera under the warranty procedures and if the hardware issue isn't covered by them then they'll replace the phone. This is an unacceptable company policy. Think twice about purchasing a brand new phone from this company.

Horrible Gheto Custmer Service
I had their service at the beggining of 2010. I had some issues with my phone and they took money out of my bank account without permission, and at the end they canceled my sercvice because they said that I called too many time to customer care dept for issues. When I called one time I spoke to someone named JaQuisha or so spelled correctly?* Was yelling at me and speaking to someone in the background which was extemely rude and kept on saying that she just started to work there and does not need to know what evertyhing. :=() So I took things into my own hands and filled a Better Business Bureau complaint and also the Attorney's General office of Ohio. So I got a reply back from Page Plus saying that my story I filed was not true. So when I contacted the Attorney General they said that a lot of people were having the same issues as I was. So Page Plus was getting sued by the state for changind plans on customers account without their consent. And everyone who had or has their service will receive a $200 check in the mail. I received the check in December 2010. So I incourage people to file a complaint with the Attorneys General office and next time they act up they will be paying again. This is a money hungry company that can't seem to get enough!!

Fake Roaming Charges...
Page Plus seems to be a great deal. You get nationwide coverage on the Verizon CDMA network, the price is pretty cheap, and you can use almost any Verizon Wireless phone. WATCH OUT...

While it seems to be a great deal, it's not. Page Plus offers unlimited service for just $44.95 a month. However, if you overuse your phone, they will stop service with no warning. They also do not post any guidelines as to what constitutes over useage. Kind of like being charged with a crime, but no one telling you what law was broken.

If you don't use your phone often enough, Page Plus will start charging you a roaming charge in order to use up your funds in your Page Plus account. I saw my account balance dropping and called Page Plus to ask why. I was told I was roaming and the roaming charge of 30 cents per minute was being charged. I explained to the CS rep, that roaming was impossible on my phone... first, I was in the middle of a very strong Verizon Wireless area, and the service on my phone was set to "home only"... meaning if I were to go outside a Verizon Wireless coverage area, my phone would simply say "no service" instead of trying to connect with another service's tower. After explaining all of this to the CS rep, he changed his story and said that the person with whom I was speaking must have been roaming. How was I charged for that? It's illegal to charge the 'called' party any extra fees involved with answering a call. I asked that the money be refunded and he said there was nothing he could do. Whe I asked to speak to his supervisor, he disconnected the call. These 'fake roaming charges' happened to me a total of 9 times with the same result each time. Page Plus, flat-out, refused to refund these falsified charges and would not let me speak to someone in charge. It seems I am not the only one having this problem... there are hundreds of posts across the web with the same complaint. I dropped Page Plus as my carrier because of their unacceptable business practices.

Stay away
I am a customer of page plus cellular for 3 yrs. I pay for my service every 120 days. I paid on Aug. 6th, 2010 & received an order# by phone. Today I was informed my account was $0.00 Balance. I called page plus 4 times. The 1stime they restored my payment which was not posted to my account. When I sked abouthe rollover minutes I had lost, my connection wasevered. I called back & was told I should have notified them & that it was my fault. I explained they took my money on Aug. 9th per my bank statement & their Ohio Office & phone# displayed there on. After 4 calls I was told again it was my faulthathe minutes were not posted on my account & I lost my rollover minutes as well.

I BELIEVE THIS IS A SCAM. THEY DON'T POST PAYMENTS YETAKE YOUR MONEY & ROLLOVER MINUTES THEN BLAME THE CUSTOMER. EVEN A CONFIRMATION ORDER# MEANS NOTHING AS THEY DO NOT POSTHE PAYMENTS BUT DO TAKE YOUR FUNDS. I ASKED TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR & WAS TOLD THIS DIDN'T MERIT HIS ATTENTION.

PAGE PLUS IS SCAMMING THEIR CUSTOMERS.

ALSO WHEN I PAID MY BILL I HAD TO MAKE SEVERAL CALLS & IT TOOK ME ABOUT 40 MINUTES & WAS TOLD MY PAYMENT WAS ACCEPTED.

I USE THE CELL PHONE AS AN EMERGENCY BACKUP. IF THERE HAD BEEN AN EMERGENCY I'D HAVE BEEN OUT OF LUCK...

auto pay is a joke
For the most part I was ok with Page plus b/c we only had 1 other issue with the auto pay. I started having issues a couple of days before my plan was to replenish my minutes automatically. Most of the time I receive a text around 530 saying please add minutes to your acct. About a minute later I would receive another text telling me thank you for renewing your minutes. Not even close this time. I could not make any outgoing calls or receive any incoming calls, but I could still use texting. I am on the Talk n text 1200 plan. Which clearly states 1200 minutes, 1200 texts, and 50MB data. I didn't even come close to talking 1200 minutes during the month, and still had over 600 minutes left b/c I clear my history every month when it replenishes. About 1am this morning(7/2) which is when the plan normally resets automatically through Page Plus Auto pay stated that I had insufficient funds for texting. Ok, It is now 11pm on 7/2 and I still have yet to have a working cell phone. When I called at 9am I was on hold for 20 minutes. Finally someone answered. I stated my problem that I am on the auto pay plan and every other time my minutes had renewed by 530am wanted to know what was going on. She stated that the auto pay usually will update between the hrs of 9 and noon, but can take up to 5pm before it shows up. My cell phone is my life line to my sick daughters doctors as we go out during the day, I have to have my cell working in order to contact her neurologist in a hurry if I have to.

We are unable to afford the huge outrageous 2yr contract plans with verizon or any other carrier b/c having to contact drs. offices you never know how long you're going to have to be on hold with them to get an answer. So since Page Plus had the cheapest plan available and could use the verizon tower or whatever it's called we went with them. Like I said I was happy with their service until a couple days ago. Nowhere on the website does it state anything regarding the new terms to the verizon prepaid cell phones. Since my current cell is very old, we purchased a prepaid cell phone at the store. We can not return the prepaid phone now b/c we had to open it in order to port our phone number to the new one only to find out there is a change to the prepaid phones and can not be used on Page Plus system any longer. So now we have a phone we can't use, and can't return it. There should have been some type of information posted on their front page of the website to state this fact. It was stupid for us to even assume that a company would post any type of news or updates to this fact before purchasing a new phone. Then today happens. I called again at 4pm only to sit on hold for over an hr and then to be hung up on as soon as it started ringing I heard someone pick up and then a click and a busy signal. Called right back only to get message 'all circuits are busy, please try your call again later.' To which I did at 920, the same thing happened only I was on hold for 1hr 15 minutes. I know their website states office hrs are til 10pm on mon-sat but I had already been on hold. At almost 1040 it finally rings I hear laughter and a click then busy signal. Pressed redial only to hear 'our office is now closed, please try your call during normal business hours.' What a complete Joke. This company has no where near the quality and professionalism that any company should have in their customer service team. I worked in a call center for customer service for over 10 yrs and even if I was set to leave if I had callers waiting on the line I stayed and answered them instead of hanging up on them. You never hang up on a customer that's how you lose them. I don't know who we will go with, but I will be switching companies soon. I'd rather pay extra and get good customer service than to pay a little and get hung up on and crappy service not to mention spotty service. And the auto pay system is a total joke. The meaning of auto pay is automatic payments made to an account on the same day every month. Now it is a holiday weekend, we are suppose to go out of town but if my cell service can not be fixed then our vacation plans have to change b/c I have to be able to use my cell in order to get hold of my child's neurologist. Just makes me sick to my stomach!

I do not recommend this company to anyone
I had been a loyal customer of the company for 4+ years. In the past, service provider would send a prerecorded message to alert customers to replenish their air time/ minutes. This is no longer company practice and the company keeps the unexpired air time/minutes resulting in monetary loss to loyal customers. In my case, $78.00+. I do not recommend this company to anyone.

False Advertising
Beware of deceptive advertising by this company. The price is the lowest you can find on the market, but the service and customer service is the wrost I believe on the planet.
They advertise: Unlimited calls, text and internet.
1. They sell you a refurbished without telling you. When it goes bad after three months, you have to pay the shipping to get another refurbished one.
2. you have to wait for the exact due date to buy a card and get your service restored after they cut it for non payment. In addition, you get all the enoying texts telling you you could not receive a phone call. if after 1000PM, you must wait until after the next day. if you pay before that, you lose you money.they claim no ties to the dealers who sells the phone for them meaning you deal with the dealer who will tell you to call the company.

3. They randomly select accounts to turn off claimimg that you talk too much to the same number and cancel your sevice claiming that you must get 1000 minute plan
4. Good luck getiing in contact with their customer service you may want to set aside 30-60 minutes to talk to a representative, and if you call from you cell phone, ( Bryan) will tell you that if you had common sense you would from another number
5. Before you fall for the 39.95 Unlimited plan of with this company, try to call their customer service and perhaps buy the cheapest phone and try it for one month. I left for T.Mobile yeah from 39.95 to 69.99 big change but I have the service needed. I will soon post a picture of both phones they sent me and a copy of my contract to include activities.
