I purchased an HDTV from Shop NBC in March. There were supposed to be rebate forms included with the delivery and no forms were shipped. I called Shop NBC and finally received the rebate form 2 weeks later. On the form, it instructed me to send in the UPC label from the shipping box. Too late... the box went out with the trash. I called Panacer, the company that supposedly handles the rebate and spoke with Daniel Lin (cust. serv rep. @ ext 114). He told me to just take the label off of the back of my TV and send it in with the rebate form by April 6th. I sent it in on March 24th. Since that time, I have e-mailed a few scanned copies, I have faxed copies and I even mailed hard copies of all the necessary paperwork. I had not heard anything from them all of this time and when I looked at the Panacer website today it stated, "Rebate denied. No UPC label"!!! I called Panacer and was told, "Too late. Rebate offer is closed." I called Shop NBC and was given the phone number to call Protron, the manufacturer of the TV. I called Protron and they told me there was nothing they could do to make Panacer release a rebate! My rebate was supposed to be $125.00!! That is one of the reasons I bought this TV in the firstplace. I will never again purchase anything from Shop NBC. I made a formal complaint with the BBB this afternoon and I would also like any help that you could offer. I have read several complaints against Panacer on different websites today! I am saddened that I was scammed!
What information can I provide to you to have you help me? I would really appreciate it!
