Panama Jacks Lobster Tavern & Sushi Bar is a 'rip-off'. They are ridiculously expensive (both food and beverages) and the presentation of the food leaves much to be desired. Their website (where one can view the menu) is totally outdated with regard to the pricing.
A small portion (hardly enough to fill any size appetite) of linefish (Dorado) set me back some R120.00. It was served with baby potatoes (my choice) but no other garnishing to even make it look remotely attractive. I got about 8 baby potatoes in my plate which I presume is their way of filling one up. No sauces were served with the fish.
The decor and whole set up is rather shabby (toilets also in need of a face-lift). Being in the docks where they possibly buy a lot of the linefish directly from the trawlers and the fact that their lease is a lot less than most city based restaurants, they are totally overpriced.
