To Whom IT May Concern:

It is so upsetting to have to Post this, but I feel that I had no other choice. I am a former employee of Panara Bread as of friday 03/12/2010, I was let go!!! The reasoning for this is my boss and I have had a very inactive relationship and I have tried everything in my power to do my part plus to maintain a healthy work relationship between he and myself. I was hired by Panara march of 2009. With that said For the last 2 years I have had some misfortune with my health for one I have something called marfan'ssyndrome, and I am also going through a searies of test do to my colon being 70 percent blocked.Because of these health problems I have been hostitalized two times and countless numbers of medical testing.Due to these painful health intricacyand time consuming hospital visits I had to call out a total of four times and was late two times. While going through all of this I always made it a point to bring in all discharge papers and any medical forms that management would need to clear any concerns about my truancy and tardyness on days that I was scheduled to work . Last tuesday I was on the schedule to work from 11:00am to 5:00pm. On that date I had a doctors appt. at 9:00am an that appt was in the down town area. Being that I have no insurence I have to go to any doctor that will see me and when that is i have to normally spend alot of time in the doctor" office before being seen and when you are seen you have to spend alot of time being that it is of searious nature . So I thought it would be the responsiable to to contact my boss to let hime know that I will be late. I called him at 8:45 am because I wanted to make sure he had the "heads up" and I was not just leaving him in the dark!! I was very displeased that I had to spend so much time in the with my doctor . And yes he was late. at about 11:30 a Trainer from Panara called me while I was seeing the doctor and asked me when will I be in. At that time she said the manager had her call so I told that trainer I am still at the doctors office and that I had spoke to the manager that morning and told him I would be late for work, but I will be in. I also while at the doctors office got a sick note and and had the doctor explain that it was not by MY FALT the problem fell with the doctors office and the doctor left his number and even his cell number in case there was a problem. I did not get out of the office until 12:30. I called my job and asked for the store manager himself, and was put on hold>> While going to clock in my boss said dont clock in go home for the day. later that evening I recieved a call from an asst manager at Panara stating not to come into work on wendsday because jim wanted to talk to me before my next shift . Do to the fact that jim did not work on wendsday and I had off thursday i would be seeing him at 11:00 am on friday morning . My shift was supposied to be 11;30-3:15. when I arrived at work I was told that I was no longer needed at and that I wad no longer employed at Panara. My boss Said the I was a very hard worker, and I have great customer service .(That is showen in the twelve plus written complements that have been sent to corporiate. On the date that I was let go I got to work before my boss did, but his boss the DM, was there and we spoke and he said to me that he heres lots of good things about my self, very hard worker, great with customers, and he said that my name was on the list of people to become trainers this month. I plan on taking this as far as I can, ABUSE in the work place:8hours power.
