Panasonic Microwave Repair- NN-SN667B—Case number 27219051
I purchased a Panasonic microwave. Within in 6 months of purchase, the unit would not power up. I took the unit in for a warranty claim. The unit was fixed. I have to drive 50 miles one way for authorized service. After the repair and within 8 months, the unit failed again. The unit was repaired at my expense for $86.00. Within 8 months of repair the second time, the unit failed again for the same issue. I have been working on the problem with Panasonic since January. Panasonic is in denial of a design defect in the latching door assembly. The door is designed to fail. The unit is built in China and the microwave door support will fail over time. I have a case number from Panasonic. I ask Panasonic to replace the unit with another model. Panasonic said that would give a 15% loyalty customer and a one year warranty. I would have to purchase a new unit. I furnished Panasonic with the necessary documentation to validate the dates for purchase and repairs. The issue is on-going and has not been resolved. Case or ticket number listed above. The microwave did not give full service between the purchase or repair for at least a year.
