I purchased a 23” Panasonic LCD TV in 2006. After 3 years it just suddenly died. I took this TV to the one of the Panasonic authorized repair facilities. I had to pay for the diagnostics. The verdict was: faulty LCD panel. Cost of repairs would be much higher than just buying a new one. I called Panasonic customer affairs division, trying to get help in fixing or replacing this TV set. They were rude, not helpful and just brushed me off. The “friendly” customer support people that I spoke with stated that it’s my problem since I did not chose to purchase an extended warranty.
I don’t this that Panasonic makes a good quality product and I do not recommend anybody to spend money on their consumer electronics.
