I recently setup paypal buyer credit. Made two purchases. A few days later, made a payment online. The next day made another payment to zero the account. Keep in mind that I have an excellent credit rating and that I had only had the account for about a week.
When I entered the account number on the payments, I accidentally left off a couple of digits.
The payments eventually showed processed and status of payment made. No indication of any problems. Time is ticking...
3 days after, the payment showed a status of returned. Not because of insuficient funds but that the account could not be found.
$60 of fees show up as a result.
Ok. I made a mistake of entering an incomplete account number. I called to ask why the fees.
They define a returned payment as anything that does not go through. If you make an honest mistake, here is what you get:
I was to by a supervisor that my account will be closed and I will be reported to the credit bureau and I will be charged $60.
I called many times to explain the situation and that I made addition payments as soon as I found out that the account number was incorrect but they did not listen.
This situation is crazy. I have not even had the credit long enough to get a request for payment. Wow, not impressed with this company.
