Lack of Treating an Owner
I am an owner at Paradise Harbour Club and would like to know when this contract expires? Since Festiva has taken over our resort I have been extremely disappointed in the way our club has gone down hill. I was just assessed $1, 500 for improvements that had to be pain immediately or I would not have been admitted this year. Well I am here this week and I have not seen any improvement and as a matter of fact have been forced to use the same beach towels now for 5 days because each and every time we go to exchange them, there are none available. Now I understand the improvements will be made the May, 2011 which means at tops I will see these for 2 or three more years. For the last four years nothing has improved here and it is pittiful that for my maintenance fee nothing has changed. I am at the point I am about to contact a lawyer to pursue legal actions to terminate this contract based on failure of Festiva to show any type of improvements. My original contract was for 20 years so not only was I forced to pay the assessment, I will only benefit these changes for a very short time as oppossed to owners that have a 40 year contract. I find this very unfair and feel this should have been pro-rated since another year of no improvements takes another year before I see this. I would never recommend Festiva to anyone I know and would suggest they run! I am sure I am not the only one that feels that way. If I cannot terminate this contract I will see what my lawyers have to say and proceed accordingly. I feel your company has most definitely breached the original contract when you can't even get a change in something as simple as beach towels. And also, one set of bath towels for two days in not very sanitary either as maid service is every other day. This week has cost me $2, 750 just to stay here and believe me I could stay at the Atlantis for much less. THat is $1, 250 for the maintenance fee and $1, 500 for the assessment which you tried to collect twice! Not something I would call very professional.
