I bought a limited edition Parker 51 2002 Empire State Building pen in 2009. It came with a lifetime warranty. I cleaned the nib the other day and found that the barrel - where the nib goes into the barrel was cracked. I subsequently found out these pens were defectively manufactured. I sent the pen to Parker and was told they would not repair the pen - in fact they no longer had parts and couldn't. I did not send the warranty with the pen initially because I couldn't find it. I subsequently found the warranty and sent it to the repair center.
They still said they would not repair the pen.
I am filing a lawsuit against the company. Would anyone out there with a similar experience like to join a class action suit? I am very tired of companies charging an arm and a leg for their products, providing a "lifetime warranty", and then not honoring the warranty!
