Some time back I was involved in an auto accident and at the time had no medical coverage except what was going to be covered by the guy who hit me. A few days after the accident my hip was hurting bad enough that I needed to go to the Doctor, I went to Parkland hospital signed in and was sent to the very back room to wait. The person at the sign-in desk originally told me it was a 30 minute wait. An hour and a half later no one had taken my temp or blood pressure. When I went up and asked how much longer, I was told the wait was about four more hours. I told the person I could not sit in those chairs for another four hours, and I was going to leave; and go to K-Clinic. I was told I had to sign a release so that if I was hurt and left I could not hold them responsible for my injuries.
A couple months later I received a bill from Parkland. When I called in and informed them that I was not going to pay because I was not treated. I was told that I signed a refusal of service which meant I saw a doctor and did not want to do what he/she said for me to do.
Now this lie has made it to my credit report and an agency named Firstsource Financial Solutions, LLC. I disputed this but apparently they are trying to force me to pay over hundred and sixty dollars just to sit in the waiting room. I guess they had lights on and that is my portion.
