Pars Cars Reviews

Pars Cars is a Rip-Off
I usually only tend to believe half of the things I read on this board, but today I am inclined to believe all I've read here about Pars Cars. Fortunately, I told them I needed to sleep on it before I signed any paperwork and I came home and read the complaints on this board. Then I ran for the hills!

Upon driving onto their lot, I noticed that EVERY car on the lot was filthy, dented, scratched, and just totally unappealing to the eye. Some of the doors were unlocked and I was able to view the interior. The cars were smelly, dirty, had cigarette burns, the paint was scratched off of the trim in some of the cars...it was awful. The salesman told me that they don't even detail the cars until after a person buys it. That seemed insulting to me. He then explained the application process. He told me that they don't let you test drive it or even get the keys to let you look at it until you've completed the application. They advertise "no credit check", but they did a credit check "to make sure you are who you say you are". After that, they show you the cars you qualify for. Seems like they do as much paperwork as they can before they show you their trashy cars...in an effort to try to hook you into the deal. I proceeded because I was desperate for a car. They first showed me a Camry. As soon as he cranked it up, smoke started pouring from the muffler. Then the guy tried to show me some mini-vans and some compact cars that all looked horrible. The next best thing was a Toyota Matrix. Looked pretty good on the outside, but the inside looked like someone took some paint thinner and washed the dashboard with it. The leather on the steering wheel and gear shift was worn, the car had dirt in it and a sticky substance in the cupholders and between the 2 front seats. It had a CASSETTE player and no CD player and the engine made a funny noise. Anyway, I refused that car and then he showed me an Expedition that he initially told me I couldn't afford. It had a cracked windshield, the driver's seat did not move forward, there was a frayed wire coming from the radio going to the glove box (nothing was on the other end of the wire--I don't know what that was all about), and the truck was just dirty on the inside. Then there was a LOT of rust on the inside of the open part of the grill. This lead me to believe that the car had been under water at some point (but I didn't realize this until I got home that night). These are just the things I noticed from giving it a BRIEF inspection. No telling what I would have found if I'd taken the time to look at it some more.

We got back to the office and started talking numbers. They offer a 14.9% interest rate and they match your down payment up to 2K. The list price of this raggedy 2003 Ford Expedition was $15998 (the price of a brand new car). I had $1000 to put down, but they wanted 3000. :-| I mentioned all of the truck's defects so they dropped the down payment to 2000. :-| Then they wanted me to pay $390/mo for 3 years. We went back and forth and ended up with 1500 down and 350/mo. Then he comes back and starts writing up the paperwork and I hadn't even agreed to anything. I had to stop him and tell him that I wasn't comfortable with the quality of the truck and that I needed to bring my dad back to inspect it and give his ok. They asked me for a $500 deposit and I did. (This was dumb on my part.) As soon as I got off the lot, I completely changed my mind about the truck. I came home and that's when I read all of these complaints. I went back yesterday at 6:30 pm to get my deposit and they told me that they could only issue a refund between 12-6pm and that they could only issue me a check (even though I paid with cash). So I had to get off work early today to get there in time to get my check then get to the bank in time to cash it.

I'm fortunate that this whole ordeal only cost me the gas money it took to drive to their lot multiple times and then the $5 it cost to cash the check. I hope that others will discover these complaints before they are bilked out of their hard earned money. I wish a news reporter would do an expose on these clowns.

Dont buy from Pars Cars February 15, 2011
There CARS are Horrible I used to sell them!
Never Ever BUY A CAR From PARS CARS, They will rip u OFF...
1. They Prey on the poor and ignorant...!( They say you can buy a car $499.00 down that is a BIG lie, we only use that to get the customer in the door, which is not that bad but, One of us sold a 1998 ford focus wagon to a single mama for 1000 dn and $195.00 every 2 weeks.

2. Nothing is under warranty I still have friends selling cars there now and the guy just put down $4, 500.00 and one day later he brought it back because it needed a transmission...PARS CARS WONT FIX IT! They buy there cars from Auction and put them right back out on the lot...! No inspection just right out there.

3. The Guys fixing the cars are over worked ! they cant keep up with quality so the customer suffers ! We sold cars to single moms and grandmas and HARD Working people and the cars break down all the TIME and PARS CARS wont fix them...

4. It feels like the OWNERS dont care at all about the Client or the EMPLOYEES!, They fire people at whim, and they work the SALES crews like dogs!, they give salesmen one flat commission on what ever they sale and the owners ask for HUGE DOWN PAYMENTS ! from the customers.

5. The owners are NOT BLACK !!!, I repeat the OWNERS are PERSIAN not that it is a problem to be persian, its just that they dont enteract with any people they employ and they are very mean and they only care about the money! Once they get your money and you drive OFF, I'm sorry if your car breaks down next door they want fix it !

6. I wish the news stations would do a under cover sting operation on this dealership, beacuse it is really bad ! I dont have time to tell you everything, but just think of this...PARS CARS has been in business for 20 years and 3 months ago they just got offered there employees benefits !? What does that tell u about there relationship with the employees or there real concern...

7. I have seen single moms crying and a lot of poor people that just laid out a lot of cash on a car that breaks down on them and now they cant get to work, to pay for the car they just bought and policemen come up because of irate customers...I had a older black grand mama tell me she would pray for my soul !, Please Please do your research, PARS CARS Prices are very INFLATED and u can get the same car on craigslist from a nother dealer if you just look around...!

P>S
ITS TAX TIME AND ALL THE CARS WILL BE MARKED UP, EXTRA, EXTRA HIGH !!!

DONT BUY A CAR FROM PARS CARS ...THEY WILL RIP U OFF! $4 REAL...!

Rip Off/False Advertisement
I went to the Southlake location, my salesman was named Anthony Shannon (STAY AWAY FROM). I went there on New Years Eve, I was told to come in with $500 and I would drive home with car. I was dropped off and they thought they smelled blood. They said I was approved for a loan of $9999 and they only had two vehicles in their inventory for that amount, (2) 2000 GM built minivans, I came in for a 4 door sedan. anthony kept trying to pressure me to give him my $500 and that over six weeks pay them $1500 for a $2000 dn payment and then my monthly payment will begin. I left and went to mall and had to catch a cab home for $65 dollars we need to call the radio stations out for advertising them. On the People staion and the Hott station. I am going to call Bill Liss on Channel 11.

Used Cars
I purchased a 2001 Ford Focus on March 27 from Pars Cars at the price of $9954. I put $1500 down and it broke down on me on the March 28. After getting the car back to the lot on the March 29, Pars Cars advise the car was getting fix. Three days later, I picked the car up and it was still running hot. I tried to get out of the contract but the dealers kept advising me that the manager wasn't present. It took profanity in order to speak with a manager which was there each day I was at Pars Cars. He stated that it was nothing he could do. After they stated my car was fix I asked for a receit and no one could come up with one at the time. I am trying to perform a nation wild LAW SUIT AGAINST PARS CARS, because i am still stuck with the car.

Terrible Experience
DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM PARS CARS. I purchased a car from them and was back the next day with problems. They charged me 3 times the blue book value, charged me 25% interest, required $2, 000 down, and still sold me a lemon. When I took it back, EVERYBODY in the service center waiting for their car to be repaired, had the same horror story about dealing with this operation. They claim they check the cars out but they know once you drive off the lot you are stuck, so they do just enough to get you off the lot. GEORGIA HAS NO CONSUMER PROTECTION FOR ITS CITIZENS BUYING USED CARS. LEMON LAWS ARE FOR NEW CARS ONLY. PARS CARS ARE THE SLUM LORDS AND CROOKS OF THE USED CAR BUSINESS. WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T BUY A CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE. AUTOSMART IS NOT MUCH BETTER, BUT THEY WILL AT LEAST GIVE YOU A WARRANTY FOR SIX MONTHS.

co signer being sued
I co-signed with my son on a car from Pars Cars, they told me to do this for insurance purposes, he was 19, they sold him a 2000 Buick Regal total drive-out price 17, 000 dollars, one of the tires they had on the car blew out so we had to replace it 2 days after he bought the car, we asked them for the key to the rims, they gave us the run around for a week, then finally told us to take it to a wheel shop and have them break the lock, we finally got that repaired after spending 250 dollars. When it was time to make the first payment, they informed us that we had to pay in college park at United Auto, we thought it was a Buy Here Pay Here lot as advertised, after a month went by the key got stuck in the ignition and you had to unplug the battery to cut the car off, the power seats stopped working, the trans mission started leaking fluid, the brake caliber busted, and I had to replace 3 more tires. Now the car has been repossessed and they are suing me for 8000 dollars. They did not inform me that the car had been repossessed, nor did they tell me when it would be sold or for how much it sold, or how much my son still owed, they just sent a letter from the court telling me to answer in 30 days

Rip off
I purchased a car from Pars Cars. The smae day I bought the car the airbag light started flashing and beeping over and over. I have had the car 22 days. The car has been in the shop 11 days. Finally the service department said they would not fix it. We need to contact our Georgia Representatives and ask for new laws to protect us from this death mobiles. Just google who is my congress representative and ask for laws to help.

lemons
I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW THAT PARS CARS IS A SCAM. THEY DO NOT INSPECT THEIR VEHICLES AS STATED. I PURCHASED A 2003 MONTAN VAN AND IN ONE WEEK, IT STARTED TO OVERHEAT AND THEY WANT ME TO PAY TOWING FEE. I TOOK IT TO MY MECHANIC AND THEY REVEAL THAT THE OIL AND WATER WAS MIXING. I INFORM PARS CARS AND THE VAN IS STILL IN MY DRIVEWAY. I JUST WANT THEM TO CANCEL AND PICK UP THE VAN. I ALSO WANT ALL COMPLAINTS AGAINST PARS CARS SO THAT MY LAWYER WILL HAVE MORE THAN JUST MY WORDS ABOUT PARS CARS SCAMS. I JUST WANT TO INFORM OTHERS PEOPLE WHO MAY BE THINKING ABOUT BUYING FROM THEM. PLEASE DO NOT LOSE YOU HARD EARN MONEY.

sold lemon car
Purchased vehicle with $500 down. Never had chance to drive vehicle due to numerous problems. Pars Cars refuses to negotiate with repairs or trading in vehicle. Just demands that first payment be paid, even though they still have vehicle in their service shop. I plan on filing a claim in small claims court.
