I sold on Ebay a large LLadro china tableau for £600 to a Russel Cox in USA. I found out carriage charges and he refused thier insurance as he said he was covered with paypal. At the time I was ill and having constant tests at the hospital and therfore did not have the computer on as much as usual. Eventually I was notified by Paypal that he had paid so I went ahead packed the piece securely and sent it off. After it had gone I checked the money and found he was £105 short and when I asked about this he said that was all he had in his Paypal account. I emailed him repeatedly anfd asked him to send me the balance. He eventually got in touch with me and said it had arrived in pieces and what should he do, I said claim on the insurance and that I would like photos of the pieces and packaging. Needless to say these were not forthcoming. About a month ago I needed the money and went to transfer it from Paypal to find it was no longer there and the payment had been reversed while I was still in communication with him and he was still claiming it was broken. I did in the beginning about three weeks ago manage to speak to someone at Paypal and was given a complaints email address, but despite numerous emails I have not received a reply. I also sent them copies of all the emails betweenm me and Russel Cox which you can see by the dates were after he had received the refund. When I asked why I had not been notified of any problem, they claimed to have sent me emails but it appears it was to my old email address, but on such an important matter before they could reverse I would have tried the secondary email address they had. It seems Mr Cox has done well he I believe he still has the piece, which incidentally is a numbered piece paid nothing for it, and Paypal ingnore me. Sop much for you you pay and buy with confidence, I would like me money back and everyone to know just how unsafe it is to use them.

Cette option est inutilisable dans le cas des services. EN effet si l'achat n'est pas un objet mais un service alors paypal paie le fournisseur sans aucune question. J'ai eu un problème avec un fourniseur et j'ai proposé l'accès à ma messagerie hotmail pour qu'il puissent, même sans controler le service rendu, vérifier que le fournisseur ne repond pas. Quand j'ai bloquer le paiement j'ai subitement un contact avec le fournisseur qui ne promet de reprendre le service si je débloque le paiement. Paypal n'a rien vérifié et paye...

I used paypal to pay for an online shopping. I products I received were damaged, old and fake. I filed for a dispute, asked paypal for a refund. They rejected my claim stating, that they only entertain disputes when it is not received! WHAT A SCAMMER! WE SHOULD FILE A CLASS ACTION AGAINST PAYPAL!

I have filed this under Ebay Scams because i believe ebay is behind all this. So i have not used paypal or ebay for over a year. I need some cash so i sell some items and they are bid and paid for my the winners. Then my money if frozen. Paypal says it is because of poor ratings/feedback, however i have %100 positive feedback, never a bad one... ever! Then they say it is a high risk item. Then three more items get on hold. The items have been delivered and still it is on "hold". I believe that due to Ebay and paypals monopoly they are hold my cash and making interest on it at my expense. This is not their money to touch. I have done nothing wrong. When you and ask to speak to a manager they either say no or put you on hold for 45min!!! then disconnect you. If i ever get my (now over $500) cash back i will never go to that site again. I know others have experienced it and i would sure like to start a law suit. It is the principle that gets me... its not their money to hold for trumped up reasons.
