Friday the June 27, I tried selling my World of Warcraft account, which I have been paying $15 for every month for the past three years, on craigslist I talked to the buyer on American Instant Massager, AIM, before receiving the money through PayPal, which I thought was safe.

I then gave them ALL the information and changed the E-Mail address on the account, so I will NEVER get my account back. The next day I received an E-Mail saying the money was reversed so I signed into PayPal and sent them an email trying to resolve the case to get my money.

I have tried emailing PayPal at several different emails and through PayPal and have not gotten one response back. I even called them today and they were not very helpful, almost rude, plus their website says their phone waiting time will only be 5 minutes and I had to wait almost 20 minutes.

I tried asking for an address to try to work this out in person and he just ignored the question and kept talking. He kept telling me since I did not sell a tangle item; I was pretty much out of luck, even though they said they were still investigating the case and .

Nowhere on PayPal does it say you CANNOT sell an intangible item, it just says you will not be covered by the sellers protection plan, but what is I was cleaning their house, mowing their lawn or fixed their car. Just because I have no proof that I sent something I am now out everything.

I have found a web site that is against PayPal and even has a forum, I was reading though the postings and this is not the first time this has happened. Luckily mine was only for $575, and not thousands, but I need this money to live.

I have been reading everything about PayPal and everything on paypal.com since I got off the phone with them and their 'PayPal Policy' makes NO sense and does everything in the favor of PayPal and the buyer, just so PayPal wont lose out on any money.

Paypal decided to relieve me and my partner of $624.46 on the 16th Feb, 09, it has taken me nearly 4 weeks and jumping through hoops to try and prove to them that I had nothing to do with this deduction from our account, I have been made to feel like an idiot, because the Yank chicks you speak to talk so fast that you cant even understand them, then just talk over the top of you.

How can this happen, that your money is not safe in your Savings account, I am not saying my Bank has a lot to answer for, but they showed me the paper work from Paypal saying it was a Direct Debit and they had already tried to steal $702.50 two weeks before, so I got charged $80.00 from my bank for overdrawn account, I have spent a total of 5 hours and 42 minutes, ringing a 1800 number and being on hold, cos thats supposed to calm you down, well i just got more p-ssed off, I have contacted the Age paper, they want to do a story once it resolved, I don't think so. I want to bring Patpal to there knees.

I work at Griffith University on the Gold Coast as a Chef so I have told all the kids to not get mixed up with this company, I have posted signs all over campus, and I will do what ever I can to stop anyone using this complete scam of a business.

Paid $5.00 to Pay Pal for their Security Key. An employee changed account info which defeated the Key.

I have tried for two years calling/writing and they admit they do not refund any money.

How many people have this useless Key?

Had 2 transactions refunded from ebay sellers. One went to a $Cdn account, the other to a $US account. Because each amount was less than $150, when I withdrew these funds I paid 2 service charges totalling $1. I contacted paypal asking why they arbitrarily sent the refunds to different accounts. They won't respond.

I sold three items on Ebay in November. I had not sold on ebay for a while. After listing the items they were sold then i received emails from paypal indicating that following ebay/paypal's new policy, they would be holding my payment for 21 days or until I sjipp the items. Firts of all, this was news to me, second..as a private seller I usually use the shipping cost which is included in the payment to ship items. This meant that I would have to come out of pocket first before i receive payment. OK, so i am looking on paypals site and they claim that this policy is to protect buyers and sellers. They would hold payment for 21 days or release sooner if they can verify the item was received or the user left positive feedback. I shipped the items. the first one was delivered. I called paypal the next day and asked to have those funds released. they then claimed that it would take another 72 hours or positive feedback from the buyer before they release my payment. Upset, i asked to speak to a supervisor(Jula XXXX) who said the policy is clear in the security center. Who reads the security center daily?. Also the details of the transaction indicates that the money would be released if 1. they received positive feed back from the buyer or 2. they could verify the item was delivered. They verified the item was delivered and still refused to release the funds even after i pointed out that their site had information on it conflicting this 72 hour policy. SO now buyers can have your merchandise for up to 72 hrs, use it then file a dispute and get their money back..and you will be out of shipping money and ebay/paypal will do nothing to help you!

Stay away from ebay/paypal...they are a scourge !
