Receipt Number: 5215-5412-1488-2261 please inform me what was this purchase made for and who authorised this purchase.

I recently made a purchase on PayPal and my bank account was charged rather than the credit card I used at the time of the transaction. I had no intention of using my bank account for the transaction. The website accepted my credit card and informed me the transaction was accepted. Days Later I received notice of an overdraft charge on my bank account which I will now have to resolve. PayPal's website is MISLEADING. It gives no statement that their 'policy' (which I discovered after the fact in comversation with their customer support) is to use the bank account even when a credit card is specified unless some alternative webpage is used at the time of purchase to specify using a credit card. Perhaps this is clear to the PayPal employees and frequent users who have figured this out. But to first time or infrequent users as myself, it is opaque. For such an important decision as using a bank account vs a credit card the decision path MUST BE OBVIOUS AT THE POINT OF PURCHASE. And it is not. This needs to be resolved by PayPal on their website.

And I want to have my $23 bank overdraft fee refunded by PayPal.

Paypal, well they hide there hidden charges. I was told that I was sending the money instantly. Well apparently anything over 500.00 is NOT instant. They DO NOT tell you that, before you send the money. I have been waiting for my so called instant transfer to clear now for 8 days. When I called paypal, they told me to link my credit card and that would speed up the process. Ya right. Now the funds have finally cleared into my paypal account and it will now be another 3-5 days for the instant transfer from paypal to me bank account. This is 2008, instant should be instant not 10-14 days. Wake up people, this is NOT the way to do business in this economy. When I talked to paypal on the phone and spoke with a manager named MARK, is was so unhelp ful and he told me to pay attention to what I'm doing and that I had a choice on how to send the money and I choose and echeck. Why when I needed the money ASAP would I choose a process that would take 10-14 days to be said and done. This is the WORST way to send money if you need it ASAP!!! I will never use paypal again to send money or to recieve money. Paypal does not care about there customers and whats going on. Every person that I spoke with had a different story and no clue what was going on. BE AWARE!!!

PayPal is a REALLY LOUSY company!! There customer service SUCKS! They don't even have a telephone number to contact them listed on their website, yet everyone seems to be using their service!! God forbid you need to send a payment to someone and PayPal is all they accept and you have forgotten your password. There is NO WAY to talk to these people, and it takes at least 7-14 days for them to reset a password if the automated password reset system fails you. I happen to work out of town and am not able to sit at home and wait for PayPal to contact me! These folks REALLY need to improve the way they do business!

Customer service was REALLY arrogant and didn't seem to give a crap even after I notified them that I had put up a webpage about their bad service and advised that I planned on putting together a class action suit - they wouldn't even give me the telephone number of their legal department!

Businesses - FIND ANOTHER WAY TO ACCEPT PAYMENTS!!! DO NOT USE PayPal - IT SUCKS!!!

Paypal initiated shipment of an item I never purchased and they charged it to my Mastercard they have on record. Then Paypal notified a past seller on eBay to ship to me an item that I did not order/buy. I learned about this when the seller sent me an eMail that he shipped the merchandise. Paypal never admitted to the wrongdoing. I never authorized this transaction against my credit card. I requested the contact info to their CEO and they refused to provide it. I found the address and sent a letter addressed to their CEO, but he (or someone on his behalf) never replied. Paypal doesn't publish or provide ANY phone numbers to reach their senior management. While the seller refunded my money after I sent him back the merchandise, both the seller and I had to pay for shipping charges that were not refunded by Paypal.

Someone should audit Paypal's computer systems and the way this company misuses and abuses consumers' credit cards. In addition, no company should get away without pubishing and providing phone numbers for their executives.

I will never again use Paypal for payments and I hope that over time competition will take care of them.
