Waiting for PayPal to lift account limit
I have a problem with PayPal, my account was limited in December of 2010 because I received more then 2500€ in my account (EU regulation).
22.12.2010 I sent Paypal the copies of my passport, driving licence, and ID card. In January I sent Paypal the copies of my bank account statement, the invoice of insurance from Alianz, my mobile phone invoice, the invoice of my flat, electric bill and so on.
So I have been waiting more than two months for PayPal to lift this limit.
Could you please help me…?

Cannot Access PayPal through Firefox
I have tried several times to access PayPal from Mozilla Firefox but I get a message saying server not recognized. I then went through an unsecured proxy server and gained access. But when I tried to access my account I got a page demanding my full credit card and bank account number as a supposed security check. Of course it all seems suspicious to me and I have not entered this information. I want to talk to a representative but how do you do that?

Continues to Profit from Known Counterfeiters' Internet Sales
PayPal.com is obviously running one heck of a huge racket by profiting from internet sales (scams) by known counterfeiters. With ample evidence supplied to PayPal.com about counterfeiters using PayPal.com to victimize buyers who receive pirated, bootleg, copyright violating, inauthentic goods through USPS mail, PayPal.com knowingly continues to allow counterfeits to post their logo on such scammers' websites, especially Ioffer and Ebay. And why wouldn't they since their profits are enormous? PayPal.com does not honor section 13.5 of their user agreement under disputes: "If you lose a Significantly Not as Described Claim because the item you sold is counterfeit, you will be required to provide a full refund to the buyer and you will not receive the item back (it will be destroyed)." This is not what PayPal.com's resolution center does to victimed buyers of counterfeit items! Instead, PayPal.com sets forth the condition requiring scammed buyers to illegally ship counterfeit items (evidence of number felonies) being investigated as US Mail Fraud, Internet Crimes, Copyright Violations, Violating the US Federal Trade Commission's 2006 US Safe Web Act amendments back to the counterfeiting seller! Not only is shipping counterfeit items via USPS a federal crime, but destroying evidence while federal investigations are underway is too.
Shame on PayPal. Seems it is time to find an attorney who wants to get involved with a major lawsuit against PayPal since so many buyers have become victimed by PayPal.

Sided with dishonest buyer
I auctioned off an item on Ebay with totally honest & accurate description of said item. Buyer bid and won the item. A couple of days after the auction ended and the payment, through Paypal, was made, the buyer got buyers remorse. But instead of communicating with me about it, he started saying that he didn't believe the item I sold him was as I stated. Paypal claimed I didn't resolve the problem with them within 10 days so they sided with the buyer and demanded I return the money. They couldn't freeze the funds due to the fact that as soon as the buyer started making false complaints, I pulled the funds from my acoount. Paypals motto is freeze funds first, ask questions later.
Paypal refunded the money to the buyer, who also still has the item I sold him, and wants me to refund them.
These people are out of line!

Cant speak english or help me with the scam on my acct
Someone hacked my ebay account and way ordering stuff and charging my paypal..I had a old bank account attached to my paypal since i hadnt updated it.. so it had like $5 in it. Anyway after I notified ebay and paypal that the acct had been hacked and I wanted the pending charged removed paypal said they couldnt help me. They couldnt remove the charges nor give me my money back and if my back acct. overdrafted, that it was my fault. So i had to transfer money from one acct to anoter to pay for someone elses stuff so I wouldnt overdraft. All pay pal told me is, I could add another bank acct or card to my account and they would charge that one after my bank account overdrafted. I could hardly understand any of this because these foregioners could barely speak english, so I dont think they can understand the problem of an overdrafting account. Horrible customer service. I asked to speak to her manager and he was even ruder.

Refusal to fix account fraud
I made some online purchases via eBay using Paypal as a payment method this year as gifts for the holiday season.
However, two weeks later, I received a statement from my bank saying that I was $90 in the hole with overdraft charges. I couldn't figure out what was wrong, since my account balance was somewhere around $50+. Upon further investigation, I found that Paypal had made the charges to my savings account, which had no money in it, instead of my checking account, where I had intended the funds to come from.
Now, at first glance, this might seem like a mistake on my part. However, here's the catch: I never once gave them my bank account information, only my debit card number. So I called my bank, and they told me to call Paypal. So I called Paypal, they told me there was nothing they could do. So, I searched the Paypal.com FAQ's and online self-serve help center a little more closely, and I found that Paypal could do something called a bank reversal, which is where they refund the money to your bank, charge your Paypal account, and then let you pay the Paypal balance from whatever funding source you choose.
I thought that this was the end of my problem, but it just created a bigger problem. The first thing that Paypal was argue with me that if I didn't want the funds to be taken out of my savings account, I should have paid attention to the funding source when I was making my purchases. "Yes, I understand that, " I said, "however, when you only add one source of funding to the account, and don't know that another has been added, you tend not to check what the funding source is." He had no response, and then gave me a first grader's excuse of WHY it had to have been me that added that account - it was added using my user name and password, and I'm the only person that has my bank account information; to this, I responded by politely explaining to him that my information, both the bank account number and Paypal user name/password had been compromised earlier this year. I also added that I could see that the account had never been verified with Paypal. After a few minutes of this petty arguing, he flat out told me that I was lying and that none of his supervisors would believe me, and that they were not going to enact a bank reversal.
I was already planning on going and closing out that bank account tomorrow/reporting fraudulent activity, since it's evident that someone has the account number and information (I'm still not quite sure what's going on with that account); but now I'm going to have my bank partition a bank reversal on my behalf (the second option that the Paypal website gives you for obtaining a bank reversal). The only difference is that my bank could care less whether I pay Paypal back or not, whereas had Paypal done it, I could have paid them the debt immediately.
PLEASE!!! IF YOU ARE DOING ONLINE SHOPPING, TRY TO PAY WITH ANOTHER PAYMENT-ASSISTING WEBSITE!!! OR AT LEAST USE EXTREME CAUTION WITH PAYPAL!!! THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THEY'VE DONE ME DIRTY!!!
Another payment-assisting website is Google Checkout, although I'd strongly encourage you to do research before using it.

Paypal locks money on unverified accounts!
So, after about 3 years of using Paypal to both send and receive money, I have encountered a huge problem with their service. I sold one of my game accounts and a total of $64 dollars was delivered to my Paypal account. Now, I am unemployed at the moment and chose by decision not to have or maintain a bank account. So, I go to spend this $64 dollars and I am informed that my account has reached its spending limit because the account isn't "Verified". I look into the two possibilities to verify my account. One way is to link a bank account to the account. The second, to apply for some credit card. Tried applying for the card, but was denied, and as I said, I do not have a bank account. I call Paypal support and they tell me those are the only 2 ways of getting my account verified. So now I have $64 dollars in a paypal account that is permanently locked because i cannot verify my account.
I never had any issues before sending/receiving money through Paypal. That is why I chose to use them again for my transaction. Honestly, I just do not think it is right that Paypal can lock somebody out of money that is actually in the account. I could understand if it was a payment that was from a linked bank account, but this money is already in paypal's hands. I am very disappointed, and once I figure out how to get my money back, I will definitely never use Paypal again.

I hate PayPal
I had a paypal account. I will give the short version of the story. I requested a debit card from them for my account ( so I can have direct access to MY money instead of waiting 3-5 days for it to transfer to my bank account). I never heard anything, then one day I got an email from them saying my account had been restricted until I provided them with..and followed a long list of very personal info including my SSN none of which were optional, I give them what they want or I cant use their service. I was very confused by why all of a sudden after having the account for over a year and never doing anything that would raise suspicion would be having my identity questioned. Concerned that this may be some sort of scam by someone claiming to be paypal wrote to them and simply asked why they needed this info, why I was being restricted to my own hard earned cash and I asked them to provide proof of who was requesting this info. Now you would think that paypal would understand nowadays you cant be too carefull. Instead I get an email that my account has been seized and I could not access any cash ($700) in my account for 6 months, no exceptions, no compromises, no explanation, no way to reason with them, all because I had a few questions. Disgusting!! I am being punished for trying to protect myself. They have MY money, gathering interest and fees and I have no choice but to bend over and take it! Dont trust paypal. Buy a credit card machine if you run a small business, its not worth it.

Misleading Info., Horrible Service
I used Paypal to accept credit cards through my website and manually for years, then they "upgraded" their products and decided to force people to use Virtual Terminal or PayPal Pro to manually process cards. When I called the service department, they said there was no one higher than the service person on the phone that I could talk to about it. As soon as I hung up the phone, my account was frozen! When I called back, they said it was a "server update" due to IE 8 and they didn't know when it would be fixed, and I'd just have to sit on my hands and wait for them to fix it... 2 days later, I get a call from them saying that if I had a website that they could approve Virtual Terminal and get me back in business... This not only incurs a $30 monthly charge, but on top of that, what they don't tell you, but is hidden in the fine print of the "agreement" is they want to withhold 30% of every transaction for 90 days! Who can run a business with 30% of their gross being withheld for 90 days on every transaction?
This company may not be legally dishonest, but they are totally without decency and not at all above using trickery to make you spend more and more money for a product that is second rate.
