PayPal is a big liar,Scam Company In fect
PayPal is a big liar, it is a big Scam, the seller's money secretly transferred out, regardless of indiscriminate, unprovoked bar the seller the money deducted. All the sellers warned, do not reuse PayPal, PayPal is called closure.

Bad Buyer Protection/ Poor Customer Services
In the end of Feb 2011, I order an item on ioffer.com, and with the checkout, I paid the seller by Paypal.
Now already May 5th, my order never got shipped from this seller named as Yin Sheng, [email protected]
I requested many times with Paypal complaint department to investigate this matter, since I never received my purchase.
Each time, a new Rep from Paypal response to my complaint, and give me different answer. In April, they close my case without solving the problem. I felt I was mistreat, and did not get any help from this so called PAYPAL company.
They claimed they protect the Buyer, but they did not serve their job. I am very frustrate, and disbelief this company would
handle the situation like this. I will not refer any friends or family member to sign up with Paypal again. They are very
lousy people!!. P.S: DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THE SELLER NAMED YIN SHENG, AT [email protected]

Bad practice and service
1. PayPal makes it almost impossible to use my credit card for purchases.

2. PayPal failed to close dispute case regarding the seller sold an illegal copy of MS Windows 7 DVD media on eBay.

3. PayPal did not respond to my emails when I requested about the case from PayPal's "Contact Us" page. I kept getting auto reply from PayPal. And when I tried to reply to the auto reply from PayPal, I got no response.

Frauds, thieves, and customer abusers
The latest ordeal with ebay and PayPal which cost me around 400 hrs of time, not to mention the boats and trucks of annoyance. Since PayPal is owed by eBay, they do what eBay tells them, but only when it is convenient and profitable for eBay. The customer service of the totally corrupt ebay/PayPal enterprise is easily one of the worst services possible. Their contempt for the consumer only equaled to their infinite greed.

Around 3 months ago, ebay broke into my PayPal account, which had been long disconnected from the 3-rd ebay account ruined by ebay. No email, connecting to PayPal, nothing.

eBay, without my knowledge, granted a fraudulent buyer refund of the $256 item (antique china set), that had been shipped to the buyer 2 months before. They did not even tell me that the buyer had shipped back to me half of what he had received. And the buyer, who received 3 big boxes, shipped back, TO THE WRONG ADDRESS, 1 box weighing 5 lbs (instead of 100 lbs).

The next thing eBay did was to bill my PayPal account, which had been long disconnected from the account, from which the china set was sold, $256.40. They put my PayPal account on hold, with the money received for the sale and shipping of two items. They would not let me use the money paid by buyers for shipping, to print the shipping labels.

It took me around 3 weeks, 10 phone calls, and untold amount of megs, to have ebay remove that charge, on which they had no right, because 1) the account was not connected to PayPal and 2) I never received the china set back, because it was sent to the wrong address, because the fraud of a buyer decided that he wanted both, the china, and the money. And in fact he got just that :-( DURING ALL THAT TIME, PAY PAL WAS TELLING ME THAT THEY HAVE TO DO WHATEVER EBAY TELLS THEM. EBAY WAS TELLING THAT THEY TOLD NOTHING TO PAY PAL, and so on and so forth.

Ok, before eBay at long last reversed their charge, PayPal took some money I received for the sale of ebay items, around $52 total, making me spend my own money for shipping, as they put my account "on hold". The rest, $201.40 they charged to my credit card as a part and parcel of my $4.90 USPS label purchase, which did not even prin. So, the total my credit card was billed for a $4.90 shipping label was $205.40.

Then eBay reversed their charge of $256 from the account that had been long disconnected from PayPal. Pay Pal released the funds, after holding them nearly for a month, for the sale of 2-3 ebay items, for which I had already received excellent feedback. Even though they promised to credit my cc for their fraudulent charge, they have never done so.

Instead, they released, some money into my PayPal account, BUT LESS THAN THEY OWED. Wrote and wrote, and wrote, asking them to refund correct amount TO MY CREDIT card. There was one promise, of the alleged supervisor, but no action. Wrote again and again and again, explaining that they had no right on their fraudulent transaction and they had to straighten out my credit card balance and charges. No response.

Filed charge back with my credit card. After a month of "investigations", PayPal agreed to the charge back. Of course, what else could they do? Ag-ha

The very same day, they "suspended" my PayPal account, demanding that I reimburse them for the charge back

Since then, around May 7 or so, they have been holding money for the sale of two items from ebay. Both, the money for the sale of items, and for the postage. Again had to pay my own money to ship the items, for which I long received great feedback.

SINCE THEN, PAY PAL HAS BEEN REFUSING TO USE THE MONEY THEY HAVE BEEN HOLDING IN MY ACCOUNT TO PAY MY EBAY FEES. THREE TIMES THEY REVERSED THE PAYMENT OF EBAY FEES, WHILE HOLDING THE MONEY IN MY ACCOUNT. THREE TIMES THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY DISCONNECTED THE AUTOMATIC PAYMENT FEES PLAN ON MY REQUEST, which is a blatant lie. Three times I re-established it.

AFTER 10 MORE MEGS OF WRITING, EBAY TELLS ME THAT THEY CANNOT TELL PAY PAL WHAT TO DO, NOT THIS TIME AROUND.

Additionally, they have done nothing to help me receive from PayMate payment for another item sold at ebay, also long received by the buyer, Wrote them THREE times, explaining the situation, all they did offer - to close dispute, so that they could credit the $1.92 fee for the sale of $15.99 item, long in the possession of the buyer

I am taking them to court, both, PayPal and eBay, for theft, fraud, abysmal customer service, and resultant damage to my mental health. Hope a few people will follow.

If any greedy lawyer is reading this, get in touch with me. Let's make them pay - the only language the corrupt ebay understands

No buyer protection
For years I have been shopping on line with confidence using my PayPal buying "shield" Yesterday I filled a dispute with paypal requesting my money back for a dvd I had ordered through www.ecrater. /jfsales51 What I recieved was a bootleg pirated copy. Paypal "investigated and closed" my claim within 90 min of me filling it. When I called Paypal I was informed that of the thousands and thousands of sites that use the PayPal option the only one I am protected one is Ebay. Unless I never recieve the item. So according to Paypal I did recieve it but who cares that it is a homemade illegal dvd... I lose. The more research I did the more I felt like a fool using PayPal. Even if you use your credit card to pay with paypal you waive your rights. So America please use caution when using paypal becuase you are NOT protected at all even for illegal activites and scams. I have closed my account and will now only use my charge charge so that I can have at least some recourse. Check this out paypalsucks.com it will really open your eyes beforethe holiday shopping season.

This should be investigated!
This company is nothing but a rip off to comsumers and strong arms the general public who do not know any better. they take funds from a person, s account without authorization and always go for the buyers who complain about any items or services that do not comply with their idea of worthiness. the seller has NO options with this company. they are an offspring of that other rip off, Ebay, so it figues. how can these people get to be so huge and sucessful!! Guess it must be the stupid american people that makes them so.

Fraudulent transaction
I received emails stating that I was buying a Brand New PC and it was being shipped to someone in NJ (from OH) - I checked my checking account and found that someone had accessed my Paypal account and that Paypal authorized $1838.00 off my checking account without requesting permission, etc. I called Paypal immediately and all I have gotten is that they will look into it and they will give me an answer within 10 days. NO GUARANTEES that I will get my $$ or when. eBay is now requiring ALL transactions be paid with Paypal, you cannot use a check or MO. I now have a huge $ of checks that are going to bounce because my account is empty and Paypal is acting like they are not at all accountable. You have to have every form of ID available to get them to talk to you or do anything for you, but obviously if you are spending $ they don't care, they will take anything.

Problems with account
My first complaint is one that is of a more recent occurrence. Sometime last year, PayPal screwed up an account transaction that left me unknowingly owing them $290. I discovered my account was locked, and I didn't understand why despite attempting to e-mail the company to get some kind of understanding with no response. I later on received a collection for the funds, and based on not being able to prove that I actually didn't owe them the money, I finally paid the bill off. I directly e-mailed their appeals department to get information on what needs to be done next, and received no response after a couple days. I finally tried to log back in after finding out my collections payment had cleared, and it was still locked, so I submitted a response through their website, a couple days later, no response. So I finally e-mailed them again, 3rd attempt - and will give them a couple days before I contact the Better Business Bureau. I cannot obtain a phone number because when I tried to get their Service Center number, it required me to log in, and when I do, it takes me back to the "your account is locked, e-mail appeal..etc." message from before and back to square one. I would be absolutely screwed if not for the next initial realization in my next complaint.

Because of the account locking, I had to set up a different account to do business with through my record label and other business. By other business I mean buying goods through retailers that only accept PayPal or mail in payments. I had made a purchase to a Japanese retailer, and sent in a refund to a customer who ordered an item that is now indefinitely out of stock. I am forced to have my PayPal account for the business set up through my savings account because the original is through my checking. When I processed the funds for these two transactions, I had thought that I had the funds in my Savings, which I did not; so I ended up overdrafting my account twice because of it - which is, of course, my problem to deal with. However, PayPal attempted to recharge the transaction to the Japanese retailer not once, but twice, and the refund one time, without my approval, automatically a couple days later. This caused me an additional $60 in overdraft fees. When I contacted them to complain about this, they stated that it was my problem to make sure I have funds in my account, and they can't be held responsible for overdraft fees on my end when I overdraft over a transaction I make. When I responded reexplaining that THEY ARE responsible because I never authorized them to re-charge the transactions, I received no more responses, instead I received a survey asking about how I felt about my service, which I obviously rated incredibly low and would be in process of closing all of my PayPal accounts, establishing accounts elsewhere (Google CheckOut) and let everyone I know to stop using PayPal. After reading more horror stories on this site and others regarding PayPal, it's just fairly obvious that this company only cares about it's own security and now making it's customers they make money off of happy. I've sold tons of CDs and Shirts through my record label that has paid for at least 2 full paychecks of an employee, and this is how I get treated? It's ridiculous.
