We purchased a jersey from an international seller that was listed as a power seller and had a very high positive feedback rating. When we received the jersey it was an obvious knock off for one it is a dallas cowboys jersey and there jersey colors are blue on white but this jersey was BLACK on white it also had a label calling him a player of the century problem is the label was from BEFORE he was even in the NFL. I tried repeatedly to contact seller and the emails were never answered. Between the time I ordered and the time I received this seller had over 30 negative feedback listed and that was in a two week time period no exaggeration.
I contacted Paypal because I am supposed to have buyer protection. I filled out the forms exactly like it said to do and I contacted the Dallas Cowboys and the NFL about counterfeit merchandise. I was asked to send the jersey in for investigation as well as all emails, packaging etc. and they are even paying for shipping. Well today I received a message from pay pal that I am due a refund but I have to send the jersey back to south korea at my expense to get a refund. The Paypal representative was nice and tried to help but he told me if I would have called sooner it could have been resolved differently. I told him I filled out the forms the day I received item exactly as it says how to and it never said I had to call. I also have until the 15th of september for the seller to recieve the item and yet today is Saturday the 5th and Monday is labor day so if I was to send it to the seller he would have to get it in South Korea in less than a week but when he sends stuff it takes 2+ weeks for buyer to receive. Makes NO SENSE I guess Paypal doesnt have very good buyer protection.
I also do not understand how this seller is listed by EBAY as a power seller still when his feedback rating is so low and all the feedback involves slow shipping, not answering emails, and poor products.
Paypal and EBAY should reevaluate how they do things with international sellers.
