Stealing money
I have a paypower debit card with $261.00 on it. they have a hold on the card for "at risk" behavior! Whatever! I used it at a spa in colorado last weekend then got gas in sioux city this week. today declined. called company. was hung up on 5 times or they pretended they couldn't hear me. then finally got Anna who was no help. she transferred me to her supervisor dennis who told me risk dept would call me back in 1 to 2 business days. i said this is my money - not a line of credit - and that was not acceptable. he kept repeating himself. i asked for his superior and he said he didn't have one. then said he did, put me on hold, came back and said his supervisor would call me back in 1 to 2 business days. it was run around after run around. he refused to tell me who owns his company and that it is simply card holder services. wouldn't tell me if it was a corporation, llc or what. told me the risk department doesn't have telephones or email addresses so i couldn't talk to them. they are HORRIBLE and AWFUL. do NOT use. still waiting for my money to be released. SO mad.

Pre Paid Credit Card 100% FRAUD!!
I bought A PayPower Prepaid Credit Card For my direct deposits. The company STOLE The money I had on my card, And then had the nerve to tell me I had gone over my limit on purchases, which was NOT true. Further more I didn't have any limit because it's a prepaid card. They then said I owed them $100.00. I really needed that money bad. I was totally speechless! I'm Taking action on this matter soon. I will not stand by letting other innocent victims to get scammed like I did!! What ever you do, DO NOT GET A PAYPOWER CARD! I don't think it will be long before this company is SHUT DOWN and taken out of our stores like Albertsons.

Fraudulent Practices
Recently purchased a Paypower prepaid debit card at the supermarket as I am currently between credit cards and needed to make an online purchase. After loading the card in the store, I was told I needed to activate and register it online. I attempted to put in the card's number as directed on the website to start the activation and registration process, but repeatedly got a "request failed" error. I rechecked the number and typed it out carefully at least 10 times, to no avail. I then went to register on the phone, as that was also supposedly an option. The number I was given was just to an automated message talking about tax returns or how to report a lost or stolen card, and I could NOT register or activate it. I'm surprised this so called "bank" was given a license from Visa, after seeing many other complaints online (including a complaint on this site) I have to conclude that this is a fraudulent company that scams customers. Do not even consider purchasing one of these cards. Customer service is nonexistent (contrary to multiple claims both on the card itself and in the TOS) and more likely than not you will have issues registering your card, if you ever get it to work at all.
TL;DR - PayPower prepaid Visa cards are a SCAM, no live customer service, multiple complaints online and the website won't allow you to register either.
