I purchased a 2005 Sonata in 2004. At the time I thought the loan was financed through Centrix. A year later my statements started coming from Peak 5. In 2006 my statements started coming from Flatiron. In January 2009 my vehicle was repossessed from my volunteer site during the daylight hours. I went outside to go to my car and it was gone. I was in the process of filing bankruptcy so I had to retrieve the vehicle in another countyand pay $50 to recover items out of it. In February 2009 Deborah Forrest of Flatiron Peak 5 or whomever sent me documents to sign and notarize them to transfer the title and the lienholder to GTKY Credit Union. I signed th papers sent them back and about a week later middle of February I received the tax bill for my car and I went in to the county clerks office to pay it and they would not allow me to pay the taxes until Peak5 or whomever transferred the title back in my name with the new lienholders GTKY. I waited patiently and on 3 April 09 I received a speeding ticket and was also informed that the car was not even registered to me but I was maintining full coverage even though it was in my chapter 13. I was also put on probation and had fines to pay. In Oct 09 I was pulled over again and cited for suspended and cancelled registration. i was in no traffic violoations this day but I received citations for canceled registration and license plates being suspended and the policeman informed me that the state law requires them to pull your plates off because my vehicle was basically inoperable. He told me that the vehicle was not even in my name and I asked whose name it was in and he wouldn't tell me. I had to park the car for approximately 2 months, pay for people to take me to the VA hospital for my medical appointments, pay people to take me t my jobsite, wait for people to pick me up, leaving home as early as 630 AM and returning as late as midnight some nights.I filed several different complaints with different agencies and the following Monday, The National Credit Union Assn called and gave me a number for Peak 5 that was disconnected. They also gave me a number for GTKY Credit Union. I called and spoke to Keith Gill he worked since October trying to helpme and find out who the lienholder was on my car. On 24 December I was sent a message from GTKY releasing the lien and giving me a free and clea title.GTKY states that they have never had this loan on their books and they do not know why Peak 5 or whomever is saying that they are. well a week later, Alicia from National Auto Recovery service calls me about 6 PM and tells me that they need to make an appointment with me to pick up my car for nonpayment. If GTKY does not know who I owe and I also spoke with Donna Stallsworth in Oct who callled me from a number in Nevada and not Colorado but she never called me back. Donna apologized for thwm not taking care of my title situation but she said that GTKY were my new lienholders.Why would she not discuss payment arrangments with me?Alicia from National Auto Warranty Service stated that their paperwork SUPERCEDED ANY FREE AND CLEAR TITLE THAT I MAY HAVE? I received my first statement from APS New Years Eve and they have changed the account number and the balance on the loan is irrehensible to what it should be. My county clerk representative advised me in Oct to take them to civil court and I wish that I had because there is no way that I can pay what their asking.Ironically I went to the courthouse and got copies of the original loan and the paperwok has GTKY written all over it. I could have gone to jail because in the cops eyes I was riding around in a stolen vehicle.
