Pearl Painting painted our SF wood house and his ad said that he did quality work "Do it right the first time" was written on his business card. We paid for the highest quality Benjamin Moore paint which had lasted 12 years from the previous paint job. We hired Mr. Brendan Meer in the beginning of the summer and he stalled and stalled the start of the job till the beginning of the rainy season.
We told him we did not want him to paint the house when it was raining and he promised he would only paint when it was completely dry. He lied. We both work. But I came home and caught his workers painting on days when it was drizzling and sure enough a month later the new paint whole side of the house bubbled out. He tried to resand it but there was so much moisture now trapped in the wood that the whole job was compromised. A year later every seam on every board cracked and all the nails popped.
We filed a claim with the Contracters License Board which was a COMPLETE SHAM! NEVER DO THIS. They are simply there to protect the contractor. You are better off taking them to small claims court. We are out $8, 000!! And now have to repaint our house after 2 YEARS!
