PEMCO/LIBERTY BAY AUTO Reviews

Parts scam
Son crashed car into guardrail after skidding on wet pavement. We were old it would be over 10k to fix., thereby totalling the car(bought it for 12, 000 plus tax). Pemco claims Liberty Bay sent paperwork stating it would only be $8500 to fix the 2007 Nissan Versa. They told us our car was worth over 14K and therefore needs to be repaired not totaled.
We said don't repair it! In two separate phone calls to Pemco and a voice mail to David Badgely We neither signed nor spoke the words to repair our car; we did agree to a $100. "estimate fee". After going back and forth, and since we bought the car outright and have the title, we decided to take the check and not repair the car. Called the salvage man and we were offered an amount for it. However now Liberty Bay will not give us the car.
Apparently Liberty Bay ordered the parts. Now the car has been at Liberty Bay since Dec. 9th and now they are saying we owe them $3000.00 for the parts. What the...
They put us off each day and are charging storage fees- over $200 so far for "storage fees". Liberty Bay claims PEMCO ok'd them ordering parts. Great have Pemco reimburse you. Pemco claims we said yes; when in fact we spoke with Don the claims adjuster's whose boss is named David Badgeley-Auto Claims - still not sure of spelling as we have not been sent one sheet of our claim.
David Badgeley was rude and we told him we did not want this fixed and we would be salvaging the car. Now he has the audacity to LIE and say we did ok it? This is our first claim with Pemco in 13 years of making on time payments to them. Their customer service sucks. They are great as long as you never get in an accident and need your car fixed.
Pemco is also charging for a car that is no longer in use. We are switching auto insurance a.s.a.p.
Yes, we have a lawyer. Did I mention we bought this car used at Liberty Bay just a year ago and until this happened we were planning on buying another one for our son to take to school?
Have taken our other cars in the past 20 years to Liberty Bay. John Holloway and David Krafsky are the two we are having problems with at Liberty Bay. They claim Nissan won't take the parts back and we have to pay for them and take them ... where...home, I guess?
So if you are doing business with Pemco or Liberty Bay good luck; if you haven't save yourself the trouble.
