On August 11, 2009 a young man came to my door to sell magazines and cookbooks so he could finance a trip to Pearl Harbor. At first, I told him that I was not interested but he told me a GREAT sob story and told me that he was the nephew of one of my trusted neighbors and had been referred to me by them. He also told me that he lived in my neighborhood at the bottom of the hill. I fell for it.
I chose a cookbook I was only marginally interested in and wrote out a check for $48 and was told that delivery would take about 120 days. The check cleared my bank on August 18, 2009.
Today is July 21, 2010 and I still have not received my cookbook. I have contacted the company through phone and letters. No one has ever responded.
I admit it; I was scammed. I've learned my lesson. DO NOT buy from this company! You will regret it.
