I am hobby breeder and raise kittens in my home. I have had kittens all my life living on a farm as I grew up. They have always been my best friends. When I started breeding cats in 2005 my plan has always been to sell them as pets and make sure they have good homes.
Robert Presley from Perian Idols Cattery had contacted me several times about a female breeder he would see on my website and just had to have. His final request was for a long hair calico breeder I had on my website. He and his "partner" Wade are new breeders and seemed like very nice boys. After meeting with them and they assuring me they would take very good care of my cat I let them purchase her for 800.00. Then I cried for 2 days missing her and my husband and I agreed we would never sell our cats as breeders again.
After my calico cat gave these boys a litter of 4 with only one surviving Robert contacted me that her cervex did not open wide enough for the births so she had a c-section. Prior when I had her she had a normal birth. They did not want her anymore and they brought her back. I exchanged her for a blue point himmi that I had gotton from Co-Bridge cattery. She was use to cattery life and is a very loveable cat. She got along fine with us. She was a proven breeder and a fair trade. They contacted me again stating she did not fit in with their cats and wanted to bring her back. Well, here we go again. I told them I would trade her for a kitten in the spring and they were happy with that and kept my cats papers and were waiting till spring for a kitten. Out of nowhere Robert contacted me this fall just having to have a kitten I am keeping as a breeder because his "partner" Wade just had to have it. I assured him he would get the kitten in the spring as we had verbally talked about. Instead he wanted everything done legally under our contract. Ok. here we go again. I agreed that we wanted this handled legally also. I had to give my himmi back to them but they assured me they had a lady wanting her and she would not be going back to their cattery. Thank God!
They are now threatening me with slander saying they will tell every breeder and everyone they know what a bad breeder I am. See why I call them boys? Just like a pair of little boys isn't it?
They have a lot to learn but what I learned is never, ever, sell or give a cat to another breeder.
Lady, we love you and miss you. We hope you have a good home now.
