personal antivirus Reviews

antivirus software
I got a pop-up message saying my computer was infected with trojans, worms, etc., from a site offering to sell Personal Antivirus software for my computer. Of course it freaked me out, and I bought it on 8/29/2009. This morning I noticed that my logo for the antivirus on my desktop had disappeared and I checked out my status on my security site and couldn't find any type of antivirus protection. I had saved my paperwork where I purchased the software and now I find I have been scammed. What do I do now? I paid approximately 90.00 on my credit card.

refund
I orded Personal Antivirus on 8/31/2009, found out on the computer that it was a hoax. I called the "customer service" number because I wanted a refund, which was an option for the automated system. The $80.54 was taken out of my account on 9/2/2009. I got an e-mail from them ([email protected]) stating my refund would be credited back in 5-7 business days, on 9/3/2009. I am calling them, leaving a message every day, and still haven't gotten my messages answered back much less my refund yet. Today is 9/29/2009. The paper work staed on the top, that there is a 30 day money back guarantee. What a terrible thing to be doing to the public.

credit card charges
It appears I've been the victim of a scam. Personal Antivirus popped up on my computer saying that I had many serious viruses, and especially the Trojan virus. It offered to take care of these problems for $56.00. I received the credit card bill for $89.95. I didn't know who witabett.com was, so I looked it up on Google and discovered they were some bogus company who victimized unassuming people like me using the tactics of showing viruses that weren't even there to scam people out of their money.

Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

charged my account and after a few days left me w/ no virus protection
i received a pop up that my computer was infected and instructed me to order personal antivirus protection . i tried to download a reputable service that i was familiar with. the personal antivirus protection ad would not let me click anything other then their ad . once i purchased their service my card was billed $ 79.95 i was given a website, registration key, and email support address as well as a support phone # . i ran the software it seemed to unfreeze my computer and after a few days the icon for the protection is gone and the support number and website i was given does not exist. i paid for a years service.

rip off
I mistakenly purchased antivirus software from Witabett.com because it promised a 30 day moneyback guarantee so i was going to call back the next day to get my money back. When I called it kept saying all lines are busy so then it lets you leave a voicemail and says someone will call you back. No one ever calls you back and I fear it will now corrupt my computer. Please help!

Took over my computer
Aug 9, 09 - Today I noticed a new icon on my desk top "Personal Antivirus". I did not need antivirus software nor did I download this...it downloaded itself. I now cannot go to most websites as it tells me that the site is un-safe and then offers me an option to buy it's software. I am now a prisoner to this anti-virus software. I constantly get pop-ups telling me that my computer is in danger.

I know how to find program files and un-install them, but un-install doesn't work with this program. In their agreement terms, the company provides a URL that is supposed to un-install the program, but it doesn't. They provide a customer service form to fill in which I have filled in. I also sent them an e-mail which bounced back.

[email protected]

The only contact information for this company is this e-mail address. I will now have to pay someone to take this crap off my computer.

I am beyond PISSED as this happened to me earlier this year. You can't use your computer when this crap is on it. These people should go to jail for this.
