Returns / Customer Service
Beware of Pet Boulevard (http://www.petblvd.com/). The prices look good, but if you're ordering something you've never ordered before, it arrives, and it's not what you needed or expected, returns are costly. I ordered a hood for my aquarium, & paid roughly $8 shipping. While the product was as described, it was the wrong size. I needed to return it, but Pet Boulevard does not cover return shipping (and, you have to be careful & make sure that you get an RMA number *immediately* or else you're stuck with an item you can't use & can't return). Not only was I out the $8 for having them ship it to me, but I had to assume another $13 cost to ship it back including delivery confirmation and insurance. So basically, I paid $21 for NOTHING. I totally got screwed. I could have probably cut back the return shipping cost by forgoing confirmation and insurance, but I didn't trust them at all to say that they had received it and refund my money...largely because their phone number doesn't work & so I couldn't talk to a real person. They did, however, respond by e-mail. But their service and policies are not solid enough for me to ever trust them again. I'll be buying elsewhere forever.

Fraud and cheating
I found the www.petblvd.com site through google.com's shopping search when I was looking for a protein skimmer for my 55-gallon saltwater reef tank. On their site they had a protein skimmer advertised on sale for $25.76 - about $10 cheaper than I was able to find a similar product elsewhere. This product looked to be better quality because it was originally priced $63.99 and was discounted.
I read what the company had to say about their product and according to the description this would do everything that I needed it to do. I anxiously awaited the newest addition to my fish tank.
Upon opening the package and examining the product, I immediately noticed the protein skimmer was inferior. I set it up in my tank to see if it would work and it does nothing like the website said it would - in fact, if I left this device in my fish tank rather then do its job it would end up killing all my fish.
Also, the device has metal pieces that will DESTROY a reef tank if left in there. The website says absolutely nothing about this product not being appropriate for saltwater reef tanks. The website claims to have a 'guarantee' on their products - but now that I look over the company's 'guarantee' consists of that they HAVE NONE.
The only thing the company allows is either a refund if the package were unopened - which how would we be able to tell if the product was useful if we never opened it? - or they will replace the product if it is broken.
I have called their customer service line to let them know that they sold me something that according to the description, should have worked, but now that I have it, I can tell that it obviously won't.
They said there is 'Nothing that they can do.'
Beware of this company! Their product advertisement is false and misleading and they do not care about customer satisfaction! The least they could do is work with me to find the CORRECT product for my tank and issue me store credit. Instead, I have just wasted my time, my money (the product PLUS shipping) and have something that I paid for that I absolutely cannot use, because of their false product description.
