Services not rendered
PETO's Groomer failed to properly groom two Cocker Spaniels per scheduled appointment. My two dogs had a grooming appointment at 1000 hours on 2 June 2010. They were checked in by one of the groomers and I gave her my cell phone number (ignored) to contact me when they were finished, since I was going to on the road. They were to be bathed, ears and teeth cleaned, nails trimmed, and groomed. At approximately at 1330 hours I received a call from my wife thet PETCO had called. I assumed the dogs were ready to be picked up only to discover they supposedly bathed the dogs, because PETCO has an unwritten policy not to stress out older dogs (the dogs were stressed ou from being caged up for two and one half hours). Their policies are generated only to meet certain situations. This was the dogs 7th visit. I paid $73.30 for a service that was not rendered. My concern was to get the dogs groomed that day because of my wife's condition (had 2 strokes). I called Pet Haven in Kapolei and the groomer said she would groom the dogs. This was approximately 1430 hours. Upon seeing the dogs she stated they were dirty and she had to rebath them. She has documented proof (pictures) that my dogs were improperly bathed. On June 3rd I tryed to get in touch with the store manager, but only got the assistant manager, and was told he would get with the groomer manager. I contacted PETCO's headquarters in San Diego, but got their answering service in the Phillippines. I was given a reference number and was told the district manager would contact me within 24-48 hours (I'm still waiting). Tryed to get in touch with someone from PETCO on numerous occassions, but to no avail. Filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau only to find out PETCO is not a member. In adition, filed a dispute of charge with my bank. PETCO DOES NOT have the pets best interest in mind.
