Grooming horror story!
I took my 5 lb Yorkiepoo, Tyke to the Petsmart groomer. About an hour later I got a phone call saying that Tyke was taken to the Vet inside the store. The manager explained that he was "knicked" with the clippers behind the ear. We rushed to the store where they wouldn't let us see Tyke. We waited for awhile until the manger came out n explained that Tyke was cut on the back of the neck... A little while later the doctor came out and explained that Tyke had a cut on the back of his neck larger than a quarter!!! They had to put him to sleep and shove a tube down his throat and attempt to stitch a circle closed. Now were waiting. And wondering how do you cut a hole the size of a quater with a gaurd on clippers?! Do NOT use PETSMART groomers!!!

Injurious grooming
I trusted (so I thought) and dropped off my 2 dogs with a brand new manger Nina at Petsmart.
She was not my groomer, as my groomer transferd to another location. Everytime I get use to a groomer or grooming manager they usually leave the store.
This new manager Nina insisted that she knew how to groom my dogs and also insisted to groom both, which I felt was a bit strange as I was told by
her that they would be ready in 3 hours.
6 hours later I was told they were ready. Upon picking them up and getting them in my car I noticed that one dog had knots under his beard, knicks on his pads, and his ears were not cleaned. The other dog had an uneven beard, dirty ears, and she abraded his paws on top as I noticed his skin was irratated and both dogs were stressed out and dehydrated.
I called to speak to the store Manager Rich who was not available, and was told that he would call me back that evening. 4 days later I called again and got him on the phone, he
stated "Oh, I was just calling you" I said then why did it take you 4 days? He must think all customers are idiots and believe all his B.S...
I started to describe there injury's and lack of professionalism from this groomer Nina, all Rich did was state over and over again that he would not issue a refund...This was his only concern. He overtalked me as I tried to describe how my dogs were handled. He could care less, was obnoxious and abusive to me.
Protect your dogs from harm and do not go to Petsmart under any circumstance. It will eventually happen to your beautiful dogs that you love so much and Petsmart
will never accept any blame or treat you with respect... keep your dogs away from their grooming dept. and protect them from harm!!

Overall Service
Our family used to take our two Wire Fox Terriers two this Petsmart bi-weekly. We were usually treated with excellent customer service and our dogs were always cut very well. We have always been told our dogs behaved nicely. Except on occasion with Barkley, this was expected. He can be aggressive at times, but it never seemed too serious.
However, today, a groomer we haven't had a lot of experience with, complained about both of our dogs. Saying they weren't being compliant and were causing several issues. We were surprised, because we have never had this happen with previous groomers, at least we were told. The issue was so serious that they had added a $6 handling charge to the bill. We were also told that the dogs have posed as a serious issue before and had even Yellow Carded Barkley. They said their records were lined with notes in the system and implied we should have expected this charge to have been added. This seemed very wrong, for this is the first time we have ever been informed of their "horrible behavior" and long record.
We told them that previous groomers had told us our dogs have behaved very well, and had only had occasional minor issues with Barkley. They then told us groomers would often "suck-up" to their patrons, so they won't hurt "their feelings". Well this is just pure dishonesty and unfair to the customers. I believe we should have the right to know how our dogs truly behaved. So we can be wary when about taking them to another appointment. For if we were informed of their bad behavior before we would have been prepared and content in paying this $6 fine. In addition, they were fully capable of informing us of a possible $6 dollar fine before we handed the dogs o them, since their records were so poor. She even had the nerve to ask us if our dogs had behavior problems even though their system very well told them they were such "horrible dogs".
If the groomers are reading this, I apologize for our dog’s poor behavior, however please don't tell us several visits later that are dogs are hard to handle and charge us for it. It's just unfair. I think the public has the right to know about this incident. Thank you.
Point and case, this PetsMart is very dishonest. Be wary when they tell you your dog is excellent, for it may be the exact opposite. We refused to pay the handling charge and we may never take our dogs to this PetsMart again.

Not satisfied with their services!
Never take your pet at Petsmart grooming. I took my cat there for a full grooming services and they didn't wash it. They brush it a little and cut his claws and charge me full price. I call the manager and and they said that there are sorry that i was not satisfied with their services... What services if they didn't wash him??? Check your pet before you leave the grooming just to make sure they did the full service... I will definitely not take my care there anymore and i will never recommend it to anyone...
