Unwanted e-mails won't stop/won't cancel account
I have no idea how this company got my name and email address, but somehow they created an account for me that I never used and started sending me email after email. At the end of each email, the company states:

"Do not reply to this email as we are unable to receive email at this address. You have received this message as a member of PetsUnlimited.com and in compliance with our terms of service, user agreement, and all applicable laws. Log into your account to update your email preferences."

Whenever I click the link to log in, I see that they think I live in another state and all of the email preferences are set to receive no email. Despite this, I continue to receive emails.

I have used the "contact us" form on their website numerous times (10?) to remove the account/my email address from their database under the subject "account cancellation" to no avail. Apparently these contact form submissions go to their [email protected] email address, which appears to be over quota.

It would also seem that PetsUnlimited has its own account on the site that has befriended mine, so I tried to send a message that way; of course, "this user is not accepting private messages from other users at this time."

Make it stop! I never signed up for this account. They must have bought a list of email addresses somehow or stole them. Outrageous. :(

one year of not oftorized charges to my credit card
You stil charging my credit card how com!!! check your records then I loged in a last time. It suposed to be 1 month charge and you just keep on going.
Such a scam I usede you ones and you keep on using me. You got to return my money it is more then one year of charges of 19.95 for service I do not requvested and do not used. You Phone is not unswering I tried it numerous times.

charged on debit card
I HAVE BEEN GETTING PHONE CALLS/EMAILS FOR MY AD ON PETSUNLIMITED FOR "BULLDOGS"...I DO NOT HAVE BULLDOGS, I HAVE MINI/TOY AUSSIES!! THEN A CHARGE APPEARED ON MY DEBIT CARD FOR $19.95!!! I HAD A LISTING AT ONE TIME, WHICH I ASSUMED HAD EXPIRED, I WAS NOT AWARE THAT PETSULIMITED WOULD KEEP CHARGING ME MONTH BY MONTH. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE MY MONEY REFUNDED BACK ON MY DEBIT CARD!!

Deceptive/Fruadulent Practices
Like everyone else who has lodged a complaint, the company "snuck" one in on me! My wife and I use the same card although I pay it off and account for all charges. Back in July, when the first $5.95 appeared, I figured it was something she subscribed to since we have two dogs. It kept appearing month after month; because of the small amount, I didn't really pay much attention to it since we do online purchases, etc... When I received my credit card bill this month, there were several charges I wasn't sure of so I queried her; she stated she had no idea what the one for petsunlimited.com was for. We called the number listed on the credit card bill - it's the one that tells how to cancel at their website. Since we did not register at their website, we had no id or password; therefore, I indicated we had registered on the phone. I was linked to another page that asked for my credit card number! (DUH - not this time!). When I tried to chat with a customer service rep online, I was also prompted to provide a credit card number!

When researching on the web, we called a number that turned out to be for PETSUNLIMITED.ORG; they have no association with the rip off artists and were the first to tell me about the scam. Thanks to a response at Yahoo! Answers, I got their home office information and, hopefully, a phone number where we can speak to a live person (I'm not taking any bets though!!)..

Oh, and the credit card company said I may have to cancel existing card and get new one in order to stop the charges, if the company won't voluntarily stop billing me.. I really don't want to do that because of the number of online companies who have my existing number...

WHAT A HASSLE!!! We'll also file a complaint with the FTC and the Comsumer Protection Division of Fairfax County, VA...

Unauthorized charges!
They spontaneously began to charge 5.95/month to a credit card. More than a year previous we signed up to help find a new home for a pet but immediately canceled. The cancellation process is convoluted and an obvious indication of suspect business practices. I have also registered a complaint on ftc.gov.

Deceptive website products and inability to cancel

First i think this company deceived me by leading me to believe i was subscribing to a 1 month membership when in fact they continued to 'roll it over and continue to charge my credit card every month.

After 2 months i cancelled through customer service. No action was taken. Due to many illnessed and deaths in my wife and my families i did not check my credit card statement so after some time i looked and found that my account was never cancelled. I called customer service again and was told they had no record of my cancellation but promised a refund and cancellation.

Also for the 30 days i tried to use the site i was not able to respond to postings left in my online mail box.

On nov. 4th, 2007 cancelled my subscription for the 3rd time and asked for a refund of 12 months of unusable service and failure to cancel my subscription.

Fraudulent billing of my account
I have charges of $5.95 from the petsunlimited.com without my permission. I am canceling my account with my credit card company but they tell me, if there is a charge against the account even tho it is closed, it will remain open and fair game to unauthorized charges. Help!

Difficulty canceling service!
After repeatedly trying to cancel my subscription online without success (there is no clear way to do this on their website). I tried to call them using the number for them listed on my credit card bill and all you get is a recording directing you back to their website. My account says I have "unactivated service", yet they keep billing me every month!

Deceptive practices!
After many attempts, I found the PetsUnlimited web site and talked to a Jason who was the customer service manager. I explained to him, that I was charged $14.95 in March of 2007, and $5.95 in June, July, and August of 2007.. That is $22.80 in a 6 month period. I told him I wanted to cancel back to March but he could not do that. But he would refund the $14.95 charge. Now this makes no since at all. He could not cancel back to March but could refund the $14.95 and continue to charge me the $5.95 for the past three months. I ask to talk to the manager and he refused to give me a name. What can be done??
