According to a Mr. Dave Landan (Tel: 072 988 2455 ) & Mr. William Becks (Tel: 0044 702 409 2178) from PFI in UK I have won R1, 500, 000.00 ZAR. I must pay R7, 300.00ZAR to receive "CLEARANCE CERTIFICATES" in order for Barclays Bank PLC to transfer the winnings to my South African account. A Mr. Lawrence Stone from Barclays Bank PLC phoned (Tel: 044 703 74 7812 with e-mail address: [email protected]) and said that he will forward me the documentations, and I have to complete it and I must pay the "TRANSFER COSTS" from UK to SA, which was a further R6, 078.80ZAR. Then I received a letter from Sir. Adams Archer (Director) British Inland Revenue Office (Tel: 0044 703 174 3938 with e-mail address: [email protected]) to inform me that the attached letter: "ATTESTATION REPORT/STOP ORDER" for my immediate attention in which I have to pay GBO6, 999 (R81, 000.00ZAR) which are Government tax on my funds/winnings.
My Questions are as follow:
1. If you win money in a "Lottery" etc. Do you have to pay any money for "Clearance Certificates"?
2. If you pay money for the "clearance certificates" do I need to pay the "TRANSFER COSTS"?
3. If you pay the "transfer costs" why do I need to pay the "TAX" on that money?
4. As far as I have e-mailed, phoned people in the UK in order to find out if this is true or a scam, ALL THESE PEOPLE ASWELL AS BANKS IN SOUTH AFRICA SAID THAT IF YOU WIN MONEY IN ANY KIND OF LOTTERY ETC. YOU DO NOT PAY NOTHING, BECAUSE YOU HAVE WON!!!
5. Could you please see my attachments and PLEASE ASSIST ME REGARDING THIS MATTER, AM I A WINNER OR IS THIS A SCAM?
6. I have proof of the payments that I have made, but I am only a Financial/Admin clerk and my salary per month is R4, 500.00ZAR. If I am really a winner, is it not possible to sign a kind of form in uk to give them permission to deduct the "tax" from the winnings?
