I received an unsolicited sample of pills, which I discarded. A few weeks later, received another with a statement that $84.85 had been charged using my debit card. I checked my bank statement online and found a second similar charge a week before. I had never heard of the company or the product, and know neither my wife or I had made an ordered. I immediately notified our state attorney general's office, then called the company. Customer service representative said a "contract" had been initiated by someone with my name, address, and bank card, although their records had an unfamiliar phone number and email address. I denied initiating any contract and questioned how they could obtain my information, while they denied the contract was fraudulent on their end and would not cancel without a "corporate review." I hung up, immediately went to my bank, discontinued my bank card, and submitted a request for denial of payment. In a couple of weeks the attorney general's office sent a summation letter and a copy of the alleged "account" that Supreme Brands' had sent them, showing all moneys had been reimbursed to the bank and the "account" closed. From the internal memos on the statement it is apparent a call to a state level law enforcement entity carries weight with this outfit. Hope this is a useful tactic for someone else.
