Rebate Prepaid Card - American Express
I purchased a Philippe Richard’s Cookware set from JC Penny’s in November 2010. I met all of the requirements; however, I’ve only received one of two rebate prepaid cards. I’ve made several attempts to use the $30.00 American Express rebate card at several stores; however, each time the card is declined. I also made several attempts to call the number listed on the back of the card, but to no avail. After holding on the line for 20 minutes or more and several failed attempts, I’ve given up. I would like to see the state’s attorney look into this matter. Thanks.

expired rebate card
I purchased 2 sets of dinnerware (cranberry Swirl) from JCPennys and recieved a $20.00 gift card rebate promtly. However, I forgot that I had the card, and went to use it yesterday, not looking to see that it had an expiration date on it. The card expired 11/2009, and I was wondering if you could send me another one beings it was never used. I do beter with things on the phone, as I'm elderly and not real familiar with the computor. stainless steel oval roaster
in trying to return an oval stainless steel roaster that we received as a wedding gift, we've been unable to locate a store who carries it. Research online proved the junk Philippe Richard products are. In further examining the roaster's box, we questioned the Toucan Bird stickier above the item number on the bottom of the box. Gently peeling the Toucan sticker off, showed that this "box" had its original UPC barcode cut out and the bird sticker placed over the bare cardboard area! Another sticker next to this is labeled Tabletops Unlimited, so it seems this roaster is a "second" somehow. Any ideas how it can be returned ANYWHERE? We're returning our newly purchased cutlery set too...never used...never will be by us!

What a joke. We purchased a Philippe Richard knife set from JC pennys for Christmas. What a piece of junk. The steak knifes slide across the meat and it is impossible to cut any type of meat with them. The scissors I put in the dishwasher and they cracked on both sides to where I am afraid to use them or worry about a piece breaking off and getting into some of the food. These people aught to be ashamed of themselves for putting out such junk. We purchased a kitchen scissors from Dollar General that I use in my kitchen and they have been put in the dishwasher numerous times and have never cracked. Another wonderful item made in China. Why doesn't this country wake up.

rebates
I purchsed a cookware set a couple of years ago and a set of dishes around Christmas of 2009. I was to get rebates on both. $20.00 0n the cookware and $10.00 on the dishes. I have never received either one. I called JC Penney and got a phone number after I bought the cookware. I called but still didn't get my rebate.(I sent all the forms for both products). I will never buy this brand again. By the way- the cookware is not worth $5.00!!! I may call JC Penney again to see if I can get the phone number again. I have a few things to say!!!

knife set pieces keep breaking
I bought a 15 piece knife set from JC Penneys about a year ago made by Philippe Richard. 3 months ago the bone shears broke in half while cutting ribs, isn't that what they are made for??? We let that go. Now, the scissors broke and the knives are starting to rust. I would never buy a Philippe Richard product again, we are very disappointed. And since they don't have a website to submit complaints to, I am posting this to warn anyone who wants to buy a Philippe Richard product...Don't!! Since they are expensive, you think it's something that will last a long time, I even thought maybe the knives would have a lifetime warranty since they are stainless steel, nope! Guess i'll do my research next time.

FRAUDULENT REBATE

I BOUGHT SOME PHILIPE RICHARD DISHES AT JCPENNEY, SENT IN FOR THE REBATE, RECEIVED A PHILIPE RICHARD AMERICAN EXPRESS CARD FOR $10.00 WHICH WAS WORTHLESS BECAUSE I WAS UNABLE TO REDEEM IT. NO ONE WOULD ACCEPT IT, NOT EVEN JCPENNEY
I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THAT THIS COMPANY IS VERY FRAUDULENT.
VERY DISGUSTED.

Cookware
This cookwares gray nonstick coating turns brown when your cooking and emits a strange odor even when cooking over low heat. My daughter picked this out to have for her appartment when she left home. She has only been using it for less than 3 weeks and it is developing black spots on some places where it had been turning brown. I told her to quite using it. It the brown color and smell seem like a health risk alone not to mention we also realized it was made in CHINA. We are going to contact JC Penny to see if they will accept it as a return due to being defective.

Their number is 1-800-497-4959...I think the problem is that they didn't tell you they needed the UPCs but you do. I just called and I bought the plates in November and it's been 7 months now. She said the reason my order was not processed was because I didn't send in the UPCs, unless I actually made that mistake on my own.

Non-received rebate
I like apparently quite a few others did as the register generated receipt said to do and sent in all the proper paperwork and received nothing for my efforts. I will never again purchase anything from the company and am seriously considering cancelling my J.C. Penney credit card since they chose to do business with this obviously disreputable company. I alas also have no address for them, however I have learned my lesson. Absolutely no more purchases from them!
