I am writing as I am very disappointed in the way I have been dealt with by Argos. I placed an order for a sofa on 7th November 2007 at the West Bromwich Store. It was an order for Phoebe Right Hand Corner Group - Natural. ref: 6283508. We were told on this day that the delivery of the sofa will be around 35 days of placing order. We called customer services and were told that delivery would now be on 21st December due to the Christmas rush period so we waited. We waiting till this date but still heard nothing, so we called once again & this time were told that now we had to wait till the 18th January 2008 for delivery! A day later we received a letter confirming this! Now we are into Januray my husband decided to call Argos once again to see if we would get our sofa on this date, but with disappointment once again were told that we now had to wait till 2nd February 2008. This is not acceptable. If we had not called we would now have know of this change! We are very upset and angry & have decided to cancel the order on 5th January 2008. We would like to hear from you as a matter of urgency as we held a Christmas & New Years party without a sofa which we were expecting on the 21st December. We would like to know how you will be compensating us for our inconvience and disappointment.
