I saw a great deal on the Phones4You website last june for the samsung wave; it was £25 a month for unlimed texts, unlimited internet and 500 minutes. I tried to purchase this online under a 18month contract - but i didnt work. I called the sales support team who advised me he also couldnt do this and there was an error with my card... after numerous calls back and forth with my bank and Phones4You - it soon become apparent that the problem lied at their end and so the support centre staff member advised to go into a store to sort this.
I went into the Nottingham store near cheapside - where a staff member told me that its wrong on the internet and that the contract is actually 24months so he also couldnt do it! I was going to leave it in this case and go to another phone store..
But instead i went to the other Nottingham store in Victoria Centre where i explained to a young male staff member about what had ahappened and he said he could do this contract for me. after the credit check had gone through and he had forced me to also take out the insurance ( giving me two months free) well, not free he gave me £20 out of his till to cover the cost - and he advised me to cancel it after this... NOT GOOD SERVICE AT ALL. Anyway, after this and after the first payment had come out of my account - he then told me it was a 24month contract 'but after 18months he would buy the contract out for me'!!! LIAR! the only way he can do this is if i take out another contract with them!!! and i can assure you this will never happen.
After all, i feel very dissapointed in the pushy hard sale service i was provided with.
Also, at the time i was instore - the manager was discussing with other staff members their performance for the day which i also think is inappropriate.
