Late fee after closing account

You think you paid the account in full and closed the account but they will do a daily interest. You WILL get another bill with a ridiculous late fee for a few dollars of the interest that they still charged you AND they intentionally do not tell you about the interest just so that they can assess another late fee.

When you attempted to resolve the problem you will talk to a robot with the corporate lines: can't remove the late fee, it was not the responsibility of the person to tell you about the daily interest, the terms of the account was sent, and that it is not a scam. Well it is a scam!!!

During the conversation, I googled them - I am NOT alone! Told them that I was filing a complaint on-line and with congress AND that I will NOT shop there again, he removed the late fee!

I have spent thousands of dollars at Peir 1. They will NEVER see me again. Matter of fact, I WILL take some stuff back!!!

late charged

I paid my bill off in two installations. The total bill was approximately 1200.00. My second payment was received by Pier 1 on july 2, 2009. It was mailed before the due date . I was charged a $15.00 late fee in July. I did not receive a July statement in the mail. As far as I was concerned, the bill was paid in full. I received a bill today for another late charge and finance fees!!! I called customer service to see if they would work with me since I never received the July statement. A customer service representative by the name of Victor said there was nothing he could do to help with this situation. I then asked him to cancel my charge with Pier 1 and gave him my bank routing number to finally(Ihope) pay off the account. Is there anyone would could reimbursement me for this injustice? I had to pay $61.36 as the final bill for nothing!! I pay my bills always in a timely manner and in good faith. I will NEVER set foot in another Pier 1 store! I am not a believer in charge accounts to begin with and this certainly justifies my beliefs. I opened the account to receive Free coupons for in store purchases at the urging of the sales associate. If it sounds too good to be true it is!!! My mistake opening an account for sure. My accoutant number WAS 5888964207660013. My name if Beverly Glover, 2077 Ridgemere Place,
