Fort Irwin's final inspection is a scam. They have 21 days to detect anything wrong when clearing, therefore everyone will pass their final inspection and have everyone believe that they owe nothing. The very next business day, someone else will come in and find something wrong.
I passed my initial and final inspection day and the very next business day they said they smelled urine and had to replace the carpets. Its odd that they couldn't smell it on the first 2 inspections. Pinnacle's representation also told me during my final inspection that the carpets were already scheduled for replacement. This means that they were going to replace the carpets and were determine to find anything wrong.
They even tried to charge me for the cleaning of new carpet. Its a good thing I pointed that out to them.
This is just one of out many stories you will hear about Pinnacle's scams. The really sad thing is that they are doing they everyday to our military service members. I have lived in several apartments and have everything annotated in the final inspection. This is the first management that intentionally doesn't.
Please check and ask around before moving into military housing. It is a lot better living off the installation because you won't have to deal with any clearing scams.
