A fraudulent charge appeared on my Visa for $11.49 for some type of PR work I would have never transacted for over the web. There are other reports of these criminals placing unauthorized charges on credit card accounts. Any charge from this company is SUSPECT.

Fraudulent scam that charged our credit card account at Bank of the Ozarks $11.89. Was posted to my account on 10/13/2008 and the bank knew nothing about the scam. Bank instructed my wife to file a police report.

Unauthorized access to my checking account using my debit card on a Sunday evening (10/5/08) at 7:30 PM. I noticed the transaction on Monday morning when I was checking my account balance. I called my bank, I have started the process for unauthorized use of my card. The bank indicated the card numbers were manually loaded into the system. No luck on the research of this company, other than what was noted on other reports... there evidently is another company with a similar name and they have it noted on a website that it isn't them. Hope they catch this scum.

I received my VISA bill thru the Treasury Federal Credit Union for period ending 20-Oct-2008 and noticed a mysterious charge from 'Pioneer Media LLC' for $11.89 on 24-Sep-2008 in Mass. Since I don't use the VISA card that much, the charge stood out like a sore thumb. An Internet search turned up a Pioneer Media GROUP in Greenfield, Mass, but their website says 'We are not Pioneer Media LLC... if your credit card has been billed by Pioneer Media LLC... call your credit card company...'

So, whoever is perpetrating this fraud has slimed an honest company as well as stolen money from VISA...maybe me, as well. They're smart enough to incure the charge at the beginning of the billing month so they can be long gone by the time the consumer gets the bill a month later and starts asking questions.

Since the perpetrators are probably using another good company's name in altered form by now, they only way to stop them from doing this again is to close my VISA account at Treasury's Federal Credit Union. Unfortunately, Treasury's FCU got failing marks in customer account security, so I wonder if this fraudulent charge is a result of a security breach at that financial organization.

From now on, I intend to view my credit card accounts online more frequently rather than waiting for the monthly bill to arrive in the mail.

An innocuous looking small charged showed up on my current Visa statement. Googleing the transaction description - Pioneer Media LLC - revealed others with the same experience... a charge of $11.99 or similar amounts. It's small enough to go unnoticed in most cases (in my case I don't charge small items though). Keep reporting it, though because your credit card has been compromised and should be canceled.
