I left the services of Pipex in April 2008 part way through my tri-monthly billing cycle. 2 weeks before cancelling my account I was ssured that a refund of the remaining months would be processed back onto my credit card used to pay for my service. Upon cancelling my account on the phone I was once again advised this would occur.
I did this and went on a trip through America on my return to living in Australia. I am now back in Australia, it is July 2009 and I have never received my money back.
I have logged 35 tickets with them, sent around 100 emails, 3 written letter, including one to Mr Lee Jones at their legal department as their website complaints practice says to do, and currently have two official complaints open with them. All I am ever told to do is wait 28 days and the money will come. Ive been told a cheque cannot be issued overseas, that my money cannot be electronically deposited into my account, I cannot issue it back to my credit card as that has now been cancelled, a cheque has not been issued to my friends address nor back to my previous address and I am at my wits end.
If anyone has a suggestion for what can be done now I would appreciate it. I have contacted the CSIAS and offcom but as I am no longer a UK resident they will not listen to me.
Hopefully publicly complaining here might help my cause. Even just to know why my refund is being rejected would be great as everyone I speak to confirms I have money owed back and that it should be referred. And due to the time taken a special case is open, blah blah blah and I never hear back, I never get the money and I dont know what the **** is going on!!!
