I write to tell you of my experience at Disney Parks Paris. My little girl is autistic and has severe learning difficulties so our three day break was funded by a charity, The Dream Team, to make kaitlin feel special and grant her wish to meet minnie mouse.
We arrived on friday 12th march and within reason everthing was fine.
Saturday was a great day until we arrived at the Golden Nuggett where I had pre-booked a birthday tea for Kaitlin.
When I booked from England prior to our visit I was told it would be 35 Euros imagine my horror when I then was told it was 19 euros per person a total of 76 Euros. On a tight budget I had to use a credit card to pay. What did we get for this?
A selection of pastrys and cakes and a birthday cake, not very HEALTHY eating in this day and age.
Three of my party are small children who ate one cake and a slice of birthday cake each. The two adults had a cake each and a slice of birthday cake, how much cake do you expect anyone to eat, they are very sweet and with birthday cake to follow its too much.
I feel I paid 76 Euros for 5 doughnuts a drink each and a birthday cake. An absolute rip off. What would have been better would have been a selection of sandwiches and then the birthday cake to finish, much more appropriate and more value for money.
I complained to the staff when they gave me the bill but due to language restrictions it made it very difficult to explain and nothing was resolved.
On Sunday we got to the park around 10am and decided after a few rides to eat in Pizza Planet, we ordrered a cheese pizza, 2 mickey mouse pizzas, 1 pizza burger, fries and drinks totalling 43 Euros.
The food itself looked good but was only luke warm when we started to eat it, the staff had limited understanding of our english and was busy trying to cope with the amount of customers, we ate only half the pizza and the burger and some of the fries, it was awful they were greasy and cold.
At about 3.30 both my mum and I started to feel unwell and both of us had diarrhorea making it impossible to queue or go on rides.
The journey to the airport was a nightmare and it was very difficult to remain controlled on the flight.
The diarrhoea continued all day Monday all evening and at present my Mum is still suffering, I am slighty better but still feel very weak and lethargic.
I think we have had FOOD POISONING from the food we ate in Pizza Planet. Thankfully the children did not eat any of the food ordered or we could of had a far more serious problem.
It ruined what was supossed to be a really special time for a very special little girl and her sister and brother.
I feel that the dream team have paid a lot of money for this short break and you have let them and us down.
I thought that as you are a company that makes childrens dreams come true your standards would be of the highest quality, how very dissapointing. Yours sincerely Lisa West.
