He Stiffed Me. He Shorted me my change. Then he denied it. Not just a couple of dollars, either. When I said I wanted the rest of my money, he said it didn't happen. Since my cash was now mixed in with the rest of the money in his cash drawer, I could not prove it. It was my word against his, even though his own co-worker said he saw the guy put the extra bills in the cash drawer.
I found out the guy is the store manager. He told the co-worker to shut up. I said I wanted my money. He accused my family of using the money for booze. I told him we don't drink. He later denied saying that comment about the beer at all.He lied, lied, lied. He is lining his pockets with customer money and then diverting the discussion to the customer--he kept screaming and yelling and I was frightened. He would not discuss it, just kept changing the subject.
We wanted to call the cops, but it was our word against his. I have never, ever been treated this way by any store...He is the manager--this is amazing. We will tell everyone we know about this event--I have teens, that is the their target demographic--we will tell all our friends and their parents.
