My fiance ordered me one of the silk road sweet robes for Christmas and it came on time but the craftsmanship was not what you'd expect for something that cost over $100. The stitching was off in quite a few places and it looked like the tension settings on the machine used had been incorrect.
I had high hopes for the robes I ordered as bridesmaids gifts but was again disappointed. I ordered the robes in early November and was told that it would take extra time because of one that was a special order - a larger size for my mother. Around February or so I emailed to check the status and was told that my order would ship mid-April. It occurred to me in June (when my shower where I wanted to give the robes to my ladies was two weeks away) that I still hadn't received them. When I inquired I received a seemingly condescending reply that my order would be shipped "well before your September wedding." When I said that I needed them sooner and asked if it was possible to get a refund I was told "I’m afraid we book and schedule fabrics for each individual customer and don’t allow for returns". Clearly that wasn't true or I would have received my order earlier.
Somehow, she found a way to get them to me however the special sized robe that was supposed to be a women's size 20 ended up being too small. It was tight on me and I wear a 14.
Overall I thought the product was overpriced for the quality. The fabric used is gorgeous but the craftsmanship could improve. The customer service could definitely improve.
