I am submitting a formal complaint against POC Network for being breech of contract.
I inquired with the company two years ago about allowing them to design/host a website of mine. I knew the project was a big undertaking, however after consulting (via e-mail and telephone) the agreed upon time frame was between 8-12 weeks. I was put in touch with a project manager (Andrea) right away and I submitted all of the information she needed to put together a wire frame. There were several changes that needed to be completed in the wire frame, however she never managed to take care of it. After a month of Andrea being MIA, and not hearing anything from the company, I started to worry.
Soon after, I was put in touch with another project manager, Damion. I was told Andrea had to take a leave of absence and would no longer be working on my website. Initially, Damion seemed as though he understood all I wanted for this project and what needed to be done to make this happen. It soon became clear, however, after a few MONTHS that things weren't progressing at all. They went ahead with a wire frame that was never truly approved by me. Not to mention the design was awful. There was important website content that was excluded from the site, and not designed how I had asked, nor was it SEO friendly. And...it wasn't even functional! There were too many problems to even name. After months of emailing (they would rarely call me back), I was again assigned to another project manager.
This time his name was Stefan. He, like Damion in the beginning, acted as though he knew exactly what the issues were and promised me yet another timeline. I've been given so many revised timelines since this project started that I've lost track. Again, months went by and still nothing. He would keep in touch frequently for the first couple of weeks to pacify me, then he would disappear, just like the others. I began calling the company relentlessly, and not to my surprise I always got the voicemail on the other end. I had left several messages. I finally received a call back from a manager, James Hrenak, who informed me that nothing could be done about refunding me my money I had already paid the company. He then proceeded to say that Damion would be back on the project and would take care of everything. He stated that the company had been undergoing some staff changes and I happened to get the brunt of it all.
As to be expected, I never heard back from Damion. It has now been almost two years since the project has started and I still do not have a functioning website, or my money back. Luckily the full amount was never paid to the company, however it's still $2, ooo.oo I'm out as of now. I've left voicemails and sent emails and still no response. It's been 6 months since the last time I've heard from the company. Please noone fall into the same trap I did with these guys. They are unprofessional, and terrible at their job. They are frauds in my book.
