Today is November 2, 2010...voting day! At 1:10pm I received a phone call from someone named Carol stating: "Just a reminder to get out and vote today, from Aric Nesbitt running for State Representative." I told her I did not appreciate a political phone call on Election Day and I hung up. She called back within 15 seconds, and my daughter picked up the phone and hung up. She called a THIRD time and left the exact same message on my answering machine and she identified herself as Carol again.
I call that HARASSMENT. It makes me want to NOT vote for Aric Nesbitt when there are people out there representing him by making those types of phone calls.
Yes, I will be posting this comment wherever I can find a place to post, and I would consider filing a formal complaint.
My life has been full of recent tragedies. Basically, in less than one year, I lost half of my family. In 2008 my husband of 25 years died from melanoma only 4 short months after diagnosis. Less than one year later (2009), my talented, beautiful 21 year old daughter died at Central Michigan University from results of a car accident 5 years earlier to the exact date (which happened to also be the day of my husband's birthday). I do NOT need to have unnecessary phone calls unnerving me. I am a retired school teacher trying to pick up the pieces of a shattered life. I suspect there are others out there with similar stories.
