Horrible management
I went through the drive thru and ordered the $2.99 shrimp craver. I paid & was handed the box, drove home to eat it's contents and I had been given a 2piece mixed chicken. Even the receipt said that was what I paid for which too is $2.99. What the hell???? I had to drive back there wasting my time & my gas to find out what happened. The manager is the one who took my order and screwed it up as well. No sorry, just excuses!!! He states there was so many cars in line that he got it all mixed up. I was only the 3rd car n line and another car just barely pulled up shortly after I placed my order. WTF???? I told him to just give me a refund!!! Who the heck needs popeys any way? BAD SERVICE!

No chicken available at time of request
On several occasions, my family and I have stopped at the drive thru to order a family meal at the store located on Baseline Street in Highland, CA. On three seperate occasions, the latest one being on 5/13/2011 at 8:30 PM, we ordered a 16 piece family meal mld recipe. First of all, the lights on the menue board were not working, however being loyal customers, we already knew what we wanetd to order. We were gven the total for our order and asked to pull forward to the window. It took several minutes before we were ever even greeted at the window and then when we were finally greeted, we were told that they dd not have any chicken ready and that it would take a minmum of 12 minutes for the chicken to cook. We did not have time to wat on this order as we needed to pick up my children from a school field trip.There were other people inside of the store and cars behind us in the drive thru, however the store was not overly busy. Ths could be why this tore does not have the same sales potential as another chain. Why is it that a chcken fast food resturaunt would not have chicken ready or atleast be able to tell us about the wait as we placed the order. You would not encounter ths same issue at a hamburger place, taco place, chinese food place or any other FAST FOOD place. This seems to be a common occurence for this store and we will not be going back. Maybe it is time to place our orders at Church's, KFC, or somewhere where they can fullfill an order in a reasonable time with better customer service. As a local resident, busness owner, and community volunteer, I have several contacts in the area in which I will be speaking to negatively about ths store. This has been a disappointing experience.

Terrible customer service!
I went to popeys on Sunday, March 9th at 7 30. I ordered 2 chicken sandwiches combos, but just received the sandwiches, after arguing with the clerk, he acted like he is doing me a favor by giving me half a cup of sprite that I left there. Also asked him to check his receipt, which he could not find. He also did not have a receipt for me. After the manager saw me getting upset, he started to speak to in Pakistani language tried to make it personal. I think Popeys is a franchise and should be more professional.
