Home
Portland Building Company built a home for my family and we could not be any happier with it. The worksmanship was absolutley amazing and I am glad we had the sense to go with this company. The owner is a very nice man who knows what he is doing and is only interested in benefiting his customers. The work he does is nothing but professional, which is very hard to find now a days. While in the process of building our home, the owner made sure we knew what we were getting, as well as a rough estimate of when each step in completing our home would be finished. What made this even better was that he followed through with what he said, and built us a beautiful house in a sufficient amount of time. Thank you Portland Building Company!

RIP OFF
They did a job for my mother about 15 years ago and here is what I am experiencing today to clean up THEIR MESS. They put an entire second level on the house along with a new bath tub on the main level and an upper level deck on the back. When they broke out the tile to put the new tub in on the main level, they replaced the tile with panel board. Of course now the walls are rotted and mildewed and Im ripping walls out of a bathroom. Not to mention the wall I opened up that has mold in it do to the upstairs shower that they installed. Ever since it was new, it leaked all the way through to the basement when used. My mother called them several times and they never came and fixed it. So now the inside of the wall going all the way from the upstairs shower to the basement has mold. Now, how about the wall going up the steps into the edition that bowed out and cracked? Myself and a friend opend that to find an air return duct that stuck out further than the studs pushing on the drywall. Eventually cracking it. Now the deck... This deck is on the second level, is huge, and only has 2 support poles. Only one of which goes into the ground. The other is free standing and bowed. Part of the deck goes back into the house for support, but they never sealed it off from the outside. My mom had to put up mesh sceens to keep birds from nestin between the 2 floors of the house. The floor upstairs is ice cold in the winter. The stair case is also free standing and is coming away from the deck because of that. Not to mention that the only thing connecting the stairs to the deck at the top is a few nails. No brackets, braces, or posts. From underneath the deck looking up, you can see a gap between the steps and deck. As a result of the staircase moving, the posts on it are twisted and need replaced. So, if you want your house to be in worse shape in 15 years than it is not, hire portland.
