I ordered a TBC-600 Tanaka brushcutter from this company on the 16th of
May 2006 at a cost of $692.82. The next day I received confirmation
that the order was received and the item would be shipped. My credit
card was also billed at that time.
A few days later I wrote an email to the company regarding the tracking
number-shipping date so that I could arrange for someone to be home when
the item arrived. The company did not respond to the email. I called
them for the information but no one answered the phone so I left a
message on their answering machine. They did not return my call.
The next day, I again wrote an email and called, and although they did
not return my call, I received an email that said the item was in
transit and as soon as they had a tracking number, they would contact me
with it.
Because the item was being shipped to our farm, it was essential that
someone be available at the gate to allow the delivery vehicle entry to
the property. Yesterday we arrived at the farm to find that the wrong
item had been shipped (a TLE-600 Lawnedger) and delivered, no one
available to sign for it nor to accept delivery, and that the delivery
person climbed over our fence carrying this 65 lb. box several hundred
feet up our road to the house to leave it on the porch.
So at this point, I have spent nearly $700.00 on a lawnedger I didn't
order, I have sent 5 emails and made 5 phone calls to this company
(also named JacMac Enterprises) and received no responses.
What do I do next?
