I keep getting unwanted text messages from this company after asking to be removed from their lists. My cell phone bills are very high & I am sick of paying for unwanted and unwelcome text messages

Unauthorized Charges
I realized after 18 months of charges to my cell phone bill (I should have been checking my phone bill more closely, but the charges were hidden in a group called "other fees" that weren't viewable on the billing website... suspicious...) that I had been charged $9.99 each month for a service called "Predicto." I was unaware of these charges. I had received random texts from this company, but thought it was spam like you would get in your email, so I ignored and deleted the messages. After seeing the charges and reading reviews of people's situations similar to mine, I called the company and requested information on when I allegedly signed up for their account and from what IP address, and requested a cancellation of the service along with a written document certifying my cancellation. I then asked for a refund for the entire amount billed to me (approximately $180). The service lady said they would not issue a refund. When I asked her if she needed my mailing address to send me my document (I mentioned I would need it in order for my lawyer to have a copy), she said she would refund $9.99 (equivalent to one month's charges) and send me a check in the mail. I've submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau to receive the remaining portion of my refund. There should be a class action suit against this company. It's definitely a scam!!

Refund
I had apparently signed up for this back in March, which I never did, and was charged 9.99 a month since then. I called to complain and get a refund, and all they gave me was 3 months back from what I was charged. I didn't sign up for it and I was told by my cell company that they usually refund back all charges. Well after having to threaten them a few times with a formal complaint they finally gave me three months back. But I am still not over the fact that I supposedly signed up for this, I don't even remember getting a confirmation text. Just a load of crap, I wish I could get back my other 4 months of "service" that I didn't sign up for.

Predicto unauthorized charge
Ok, I am a T-mobile user and was billed in Aug.29 of $9.99.
When I sign up for Jhoos, the ad pops up to let me enter the phone number. It is just in the registration step for Jhoos. After entering the pin, I got message with all short words saying a $9.99 MAY apply. Then there was bill sent to my T-mobile account.
What the hell is American government doing? There're complains against predicto all through the year, and they still scamming the customers.

cell phone charges
I am an old person, taking a Wal Mart questionaire to possibly win a shopping card. Immediately my phone started recieving text messages, for which I was 9.95 cents each. I did not solicit any information from Predicto. I want these charges removed from my Verizon phone bill.

Unauthorized charges
I was looking for Union Carpenter jobs in AZ and this site showed up and I thought that the information I was giving was for finding jobs. Then I get 5 text messages and now $50 will be charged to my cell phone. This is not legal and I do not want to pay this bill. How do I get out of this mess?

Get your money back
We were charged the $9.99 fee for the service that was never authorized. Predicto claims that you have to enter a pin number to activate the service. Well we never entered any number and were enroled anyway. The customer service person we contacted said there was nothing she could do to refund the charges. She transfered us to a supervisor who said the same thing. After threatening them with legal action the supervisor all of a sudden was able to refund me the charges for the two months by mailing a check. We will see if the check ever comes. In addition, I contacted Sprint who said they would take the charges off my bill and but a block on our account to keep any companies like this from charging us. If some one wants to persue this company and get them to stop these unauthorized charges you can start with the Division of Corporations for New York and maybe contact the County Commissioners for Erie County, NY to put an end to this
