I bought a 42 inch plasma tv from Target and got the extended warranty. After 2 years of perfect operation the backlight started to come on at night. I called the warranty company and they sent out a repairman from Premier Electronics in Galion Ohio. His first comment when he saw my tv was "WOW thats a real nice tv", after just a few minutes of conversation the repair tech said he can get these tv's real cheap from "the shop", after only a few minutes more he said that because of my type of warranty it could only be repaired at the shop. I even helped him carry it out to his truck. He promised it would be fixed in less than 2 weeks. Two weeks later i called and was told that one board had been replaced but that was not the problem and it would be another week. A week later i called and was told two more boards were replaced but now because of all the new electronics the screen had to be replaced and it would take two weeks to get a new one. I told them there was nothing wrong with the screen and their reply was that i would be getting an entirely new tv (at least internally) back. The next week (week 6 of a 2 week repair) i was called by the warranty company saying that the tv was unrepairable.
and that i would receive a refind, i told them i did not want a refund i wanted my tv back. I am disabled and live on disability and there was no way i could spend that money on another tv especially in these hard economic times. Before my accident i used to repair tv's for a living, and i knew how to fix mine but i paid for the extended warranty and someone else was going to do it. I know my tv is right now in some repairmans house and i will never be able to afford one of my own again. The moral of this story is Premier Electronics of Galion Ohio Stole my plasma tv and you should never trust them with yours.
