This company called and solicited me out of $2800+ dollars stating that they had a guaranteed sale on my timeshare property. They told me that the customer put down 20% of the asking price and that the arrangements were made all except the closing and title documents. They told me that the process would take approximately 60 days to complete and that the steps were as outlined below:
1. Title search would be done by a 3rd party and would take approx 30 days.
2. Once the title search was completed, the documents would go to funding, where the bank had already approved the buyer (so I was told) and this would take approximately 30 days.
3. The company would Overnight the closing documents to me and the the checks would be cut.

I was strung along for some 60 days before they told me that the buyer had a home based business and wanted to see if they could get a lower interest rate and that they had not disclosed all of their income. The finance department was given another 15 days to do more research (so I was told) and that the deal would be done or the buyer would have to put another 5% down to lower the rate. Then all the sudden the phone line to their customer service department was disconnected. The 800 number no longer worked, but their website was still up and operating. THIS IS A SCAM AND I WANT THE STATE OF FLORIDA TO STOP THIS TYPE OF THING. WHY DO YOU LET THIS HAPPEN TO INNOCENT PEOPLE?
